This hotel probably has the nicest view you can find on Porto Vecchio's bay. However, a few times a week that view is blocked by ferry boats which are way too close for the sea water to be considered clean, in my opinion. Architecture is a bit "cheap" in the rooms. Food and drinks quality is excellent, as well as the restaurants' scenery.

This is a beautiful hotel in a stunning location. The reception staff are charming and helpful. The common areas, pool, bar and main restaurant are really special. Views across the bay to die for. What a shame it is not sufficiently well-managed and that there were lots of niggles. I say that because: the pool was freezing (22 degrees) and had not been properly cleaned each day (numerous leaves in it). The hot tub was turned off and dirty.The 2nd grill restaurant was closed completely. No food is available by the pool anyway, so could not have "bar snacks" at all. The only lunch available is fine dining in 30 degree heat! The hotel played very very loud music over speakers - which seemed to be everywhere - and a lot of the music was Corsican folk music which would be fine in limited quantity or played softly in the background/ unfortunately this was not the case. The loud volume really spoiled the eating experience, particularly at breakfast and on the decking having pre-dinner drinks. Poor management to allow this in a 4-star hotel. Staff should have been told to turn down the volume by the manager.
The hotel room was a big disappointment and certainly not 4-star. The door was a nightmare to unlock and the room was small and seemed "used". The small outside terrace was overrun by ants. We didn't spend much time in the room, but nevertheless it doesn't feel special or luxurious in any way. Needs an upgrade in design. Also, the Wifi signal in the room was very weak.
This hotel could be absolutely amazing with its great decor, nice food and wonderful location. What a pity it is poorly managed and totally overpromises services which it does not provide. I understand the grill restaurant by the sea was to re-open for the high season - it should have been ready by May and we were not warned about the delay. All these niggles are easy things to put right - you just need someone to manage the place who is customer-facing and is not trying to save money by skimping on services. Get a new manager in and tweak a few things to produce a great hotel.

We had a birthday dinner here last night. The restaurant decor and architecture are amazing and the restaurant has a terrific view of Porto Vechio. Wonderful atmosphere. I've spent 3 weeks per year in Corsica for the past 5 years and can say this is the best restaurant i have been to.

The food was great as well. The concept is you choose your meat, and everyone shares the sides which are in the middle of the table on a Lazy Suzan. It's a different concept but it was fun and added to the mood.

Overall a brilliant experience

We were 4 adults and two kids (3 years). A lawyer, an economist, a mathematician, a bachelor in languages, we have been not capable to understand the menu formula. We asked twice to the staff, we got two different replies... It seems that you choose the main course, the chef choses two dishes, starter and dessert, maybe the chef selection is the same for the table (to be shared between the guests)and maybe the same for all the tables. You cannot eat just one dish.

It is a pity, the location is really lovely, probably one of the most beautiful restaurants on earth. Staff is kind and clearly imbarassed for the menu formula.

We have already been there two years ago, and we had a great time and decided to come back this year. They did not proposed this strange menu formula, just a menu, like all the restaurants!

We left the table when they explained that kid's menu was 35 Euros per kids and they can chose only from the adult menu, from the dishes list that can b selected by adults (no chef's mystery box for the kids). Probably they do not have kids, otherwise they should know that a 3 years creature does not eat Rognon or steak tartare.

Greatest chefs (Ramsey, Cracco e.g.) do not ask money for the kids. All the Michelin star restaurant I tried, they do not charge for kids. I do not pretend my son does not pay, but 35 Euro for a kid it is an offense. We lost the trust into the restaurant and we leaved. I spend 50K euro per year in hotels and restaurants, i like to feel myself a guest, not just a pocket, even if in a magic location.

A friend and I spent 3 nights at this hotel due to the Sardinia ferry being cancelled due to bad weather. The public areas were well designed and in process of being upgraded. The staff were exceptionally friendly and the food top notch… except that we had the same menu 3 nights in a row! The rooms also needed upgrading. For nearly €200 per night I would have expected far better than the old style dark rooms we were given.
