We stayed for one night only, the room was very spacious, very nicely laid out, and we had a great night there. We also had dinner from the suggestion of the day, and pasta with pesto, both were really good, and the service was brilliant. Breakfast was included in the price, and we had fun playing billiards! There's a swimming pool too but did not try it.

Great spot, personal! The pool is quite nice and the rooms are stunning.
Few negative points: the water in the shower is cold and the parking is small so we had to get parked outside on the main road ..
The breakfast is various and good tasting!!

We heard others complain that the rooms were very small, but ours happened to be big with a big terrace which was nice - even though the bathtub was made of plastic (!).
The receptionist spoke German which was very unexpected and very helpful.
But the hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, the street it's on offers nothing, you have to walk 20 minutes uphill to get to the cute little town and almost as far to get to the sea. Another drawback was the cheese in the restaurant. It may seem like a detail, but living in a German-speaking country, Emmentaler is not exactly the cheese you're dreaming of when you're visiting France which is so famous for it's various cheeses like Brie, Camembert, Aubrey etc... That was disappointing! The food in the evening was unfortunately also only average - I would definitely walk the 20 minutes uphill to eat in one of the restaurants in the town.

I travel a lot, with and without kids. This is my first bad review next to many good ones.

we stayed in this hotel from August 18 to 22.
We booked a family room with 2 kids of 5 and 8, but they should have told us they don't like children at all. The lady at the reception looks and speaks at you as if you are in a 5+ star hotel and you are some nobody walking in.
(Bad comparison, in a 5 star hotel they do know how to behave)
Of course they do accept your 1000€ for a 4 night stay, but as soon as they see kids, you're done.
The staff who works during breakfast and cleans the rooms is nice and friendly. The managent should take their example in real friendlyness.
The rooms are average.
Well decorated, clean, but with a very bad matras.
Some more points:
- A good breakfast with a bad coffee machine
- a nice swimming pool with the people around it so close that they feel every drop (imagine... kids).

In short: average hotel that doesn't like kids, reception staff with an attitude, bad matras, ...
No thanks.

Read my other reviews, I travel a lot, with and without kids. This is my first bad review.

The hotel is situated at the begining of Porto Vecchio in a indifferent, unpicturesque region and offers no view even if you book a superior room (we had room 700 with no pool view). Although the hotel in general is somehow sympathetic with a small but pretty pool sourrounded by palmtrees, nice gardens etc, rooms are very basic with no amenities and dont justify their price at all..Breakfast is rather decent with adequate quality.
The wost thing any way is the behaviour of the reception staff. The two ladies in the reception are both very cold, unwelcome and inattentive to the needs of their clients. They avoided to make a reservation to a restaurant when we ask them to do (as our french are very basic), they did not give us any basic information about the town, they did not even greet us when we arrived! The only thing that mattered to them, as we had to change our room the second day (due to lack of availiability which we knew when we made the reservation) was to insist on leaving the room as soon as possiblle so that they will be able to clean for the other clients! Although we left the room at 10 o clock in the morning carrying our luggage to the reception by ourselves when we arrived at 5 o clock in the afternoon we found our luggage still there! Nobody had the kindness to take our things to the room! For the price we payed, the service was unacceptable!

Room Tip: If you stay a superior room or classice with terrace demand one with pool view if you go for a classic room ask for one, up to the reception facing the entrance of the hotel

We regret that Golfe Hotel did not bring you full satisfaction.
You booked your stay on Internet with a turn out. We have no baggage handler, and the reception staff (feminine) cannot move your luggage’s. You probably interpreted as cold or authoritarian the instructions which were given to you concerning the change of room, we apologize for it. Unfortunately, the experience forces us has to act so. A lot of people leaves to the beach all day without freeing rooms.
On every website we are located a city environment, situated in 900 meters of the city center and the port. And to visualize better the exact location of the hotel, these sites use Map Google.
Our descriptions of room specify that they are in gardens or in main building without particular view. And you will take note that our rates in category 3 stars is one the least high of the region of Porto Vecchio.
We would have been delighted to help you during your booking and we invite you to request us by email during your next coming.
