The room is nice and comfortable with a nice bed. Although the hotel is by a somewhat busy road the windows are really noise-proof and no traffic noise could be heard. Air conditioning works fine and with low noise so you can sleep fine. Breakfast is quite good with some charcuterie (corsican ham and cheese), fruits, yoghurts, baguettes, cereal, egg, etc. They also have a restaurant which is quite OK. The crew is helpful and they also speak English. There is a nice swimming pool with about 15 sunbeds if you want to relax in the evening. They have several parking spots in the yard of the hotel, in front of the hotel and a separate private parking place for some more additional cars a few meters from the hotel. There is wi-fi in the rooms, however you need to ask for codes for all your devices (24-72 hours validity), but they give you as many as you want as often as you want.

As it is situated in the port area the city itself is ~10 min up the hill on foot if you want to got to some other restaurants. The restaurant of the hotel is open just for dinner time.

Myself and my husband stayed here as part of our honeymoon trip to Corsica, situated just five minutes walk away from the harbour.
The staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel is nicely decorated.
The hotel room was clean, tidy and very comfortable.
Also waiting for us in the room was some wine and Roses which was a lovely touch !
The pool is slightly heated & made getting in much more appealing !
Breakfast was very good and we had more than enough to set us up for the day.
Also you must visit the old town up to the citadel. The restaurant's and bar's are great.

The hotel is in a great location, just across the port. The old town is about 1 kilometers uphill. In terms of the room, it smells funny due to the carpet I believe, the shower heads is a little too short for anyone taller than 6 foot tall and the wifi is none existent. We complained about the Wifi, and they seemed to know that it doesn't work and offered for us to use the computer in the lobby. Not exactly a solution, since we use IPads and iPhones with specific apps that function on these devices in this day and age!

This little hotel style motel is a great find. It has a wonderful location, parking and wifi and a good breakfast. It is not flash but very clean and you wont be disappointed. The pool is really good and the ocean is across the street and is on view from most rooms.

Room Tip: We had a second storey room with a great ocean view.

My husband and I are elderly and have mobility limitations. We want to acknowledge the staff of this hotel for their help with our baggage and transport. They went so far as to drive us in the owner's private vehicle to the Europecar depot to collect our hire car.
We had a delightful dinner in the hotel restaurant, including a lesson from the chef about Sardinian wines, and help with selecting a meal for my husband who is celiac and also allergic to crustaceans. The breakfast options were limited but perfectly adequate. The room while small by Australian standards, was very comfortable, will all the expected modern facilities. Thank you, staff of Hotel Shegara, for being so considerate to us.
