Tucked away at the end of a little village in rural Doi Saket, the Suwannatra Resort is a surprising mix of Lanna style and modern comforts.
The outdoor reception area has staff available around the clock. The pool is nearby, and is regularly attended to keep it leaf free. You'll find meandering pathways throughout the property.
You can see from property photos that rooms feature large picture windows. Waking up as the sun rises in the morning offers glorious views across rice fields. It's worth getting out of bed for.
Speaking of beds, they feature the most comfortable pillows I've ever known, and mattresses that have a good amount of softness. I slept well!
Breakfast was a generous buffet of Thai food, some toast and spreads, and limited cereal.
Our stay for 4 nights over new year was restful and I'd happily return.
Notes: this place is rural and Doi Saket is a long way out of town, other guests were surprised by this. Taxis are reluctant to take you that far out of town so be prepared to work a little harder to get one. We used Grab Taxi - it didn't go well.More
