We enjoyed a suite with terrace, with a sweeping view of Lago Maggiore. Had we desired, the pool, spa, kayaks, would have been available to us, but we were at a conference. The breakfast in the perfect-view dining room was a lovely way to start the day. Lakeside terrace afternoons were delightful, as was the intimate bar with perfect service. The green and flowered grounds were delightful to enjoy. The hotel's location allowed us an easy walk to the center of this beautiful lakeside town, and a choice of great restaurants. It was a delightful surprise, within a short drive of other lovely lakeside villages. Highly recommended !

It is a boutique Luxury hotel, with good infrastructure, very kind and carefully team. Easy access, good walking area. Breakfast is served in a room with beautiful view to the lake. The taxi boat pick you at the garden directly. Parking is in front the hotel. Rooms with lake view are great.

This hotel is seriously "grand" complete with a massive balcony and restaurant both overlooking the lake and a grand sweeping staircase. A traditional treasure! We had a side room with views over the Lake and across to the Alps - magnificent !! Room had a comfortable bed, safe, fridge and good shower. Service was excellent (we even managed to somehow lock/jam our safe and they opened it within 20 minutes - thank you!!). Breakfast overlooking the Lake is first class (with A1 coffee). You must stay here.

What a lovely hotel in a spectacular location. It was incredibly beautiful and convenient. I am tempted to give it five stars, but the room itself was not five-star--more like three (small, not a great view, no working a/c) and the staff was not great (stuffy, robotic front desk and slow waitstaff). Still, I would return in a heartbeat in order to sit on that terrace, overlooking the lake.

Room tip: Lakeside, of course!

Just spent two weeks touring Italy and my wife summed up Grand Hotel Majestic perfectly: it was the crown jewel of our wonderful holiday. This property is stunning. Lakefront in a gorgeous town, views of the Alps, lovely gardens, best breakfast (included) I had in all of Italy. Our low end room was still palatial, as is the entire building. The indoor pool, sauna, and gym were wonderful. The bar is something from a late 1800s private club. The staff were extremely helpful.
We had dinner in the dining room and the food was wonderful, though quite pricey. I recommend skipping it and taking a scenic five minute walk into town (which we did), where there are numerous wonderful restaurants for a lower price.
And, by all means, you must take the ferry over to Isola Bella. The palace, small town, and outstanding, mind-blowing, gardens exceed your wildest imagination.

Room tip: Ask for a free upgrade to a lake view with a balcony
