It is such an ancient arch , spellbinding to walk under and to think about who might have walked here before you in the thousands of years it has existed. There are a few ancient Roman arches in Spoleto , This is I believe the most special .

The Arco Di Druso is beautiful and historic. Its amazing to walk beneath this arch and imagine the Romans do the same in the first century.

Amazing Roman arch which looks rather out of place as nothing else Roman seems to be there. Still interesting to walk underneath and let the imagination of past centuries flow by.

The Arco dates to 23 AD and is an amazing example of Roman engineering. Right around the corner is the church of S. Ansone. Enter the church and to the left of the alter is the entrance to the cript of S. Lucco. The cript and church were built on top of a Roman temple that the arch, a tribute to a dead brother, was built beside.
