We were booked into the Hotel Helvetia by our travel agent, and we could not have been more pleased with the accommodations as well as the ambiance. This is not a fancy resort, but offers exceptional service, a warm atmosphere and fabulous views. Not only that, the location was terrific, within walking distance of most anything in this small town. It was located on the water and adjacent to the historic old part of the city.
We walked to the train station for daily excursions, north to Portofino and Rapallo, south to the Cinque Terre. This was ideal for our needs.
The complimentary breakfast was by far the best of the five hotels we stayed in during our vacation to Italy. Many delicious choices, and we ate each morning on the charming porch overlooking the harbor.More
