We have had a few meals here while staying with the family in Val Gardena. Food was absolutely superb, Chef Robert, a Sardinia born and raised passionate chef, who masters Italian dishes, did not disappoint us (family of 5) on every visit. Variety is good, excellent starters (from bruschetta to octopus), main dishes (pork shanks, mussels with extraordinary tomato garlicky sauce to superb no-fat lamb chops), everything made really to perfection... even the Pizzas are great, dough being crispy at the right measurement and soft on the inside, with a large variety of toppings.
The deserts were amazingly good, everything done just right: tiramisu, panna cotta and a local South Tyrol dish with blueberries and Grand Marnier, all made to perfection. We loved the food and the very friendly, informal staff. With three teenagers above 16, we truly feel that Rino is Highly recommend for a non fancy-schmancy lunch or dinner with the family.
