We had been here only for one night, snd unfortunately not in the best weather to fully enjoy this amazing villa. Regardless of this, I would definitely recommend the hotel to anybody who is looking for some sort of privacy, staying away from the crowded big hotels in Amalfi coast... the hotel has very limited number of rooms, but all designed with a true charm. The fantastic greenery in the garden with the pool is just amazing.
Highly recommended!

We had never been to Sorrento before and we were here to see the sights of Pompeii, Herculaneum, Vesuvius and Capri. The advantage and disadvantage of this hotel is that it is away from the centre of Sorrento. This means it is easier to get in and out but you are away from the prettier and buzzing centre with its shops and restaurants. Although there are a couple of good local restaurants.

The hotel itself is very comfortable, with nice airy rooms, delicious breakfast and friendly staff. In summer, the shady pool would be lovely. In October I was envious of the hotel next door whose pool was in sunshine for longer. There is a hot tub and ping pong table, both of which we made the most of. All in all a lovely hotel.

Not far from the main square in Sorrento (20 minute walk) is the Villa Dei D’ Armiento, a 9 room villa converted into a fabulous bed & breakfast in the little town of Sant’Angello di Sorrento. Our room had a lovely huge balcony that we used throughout our stay. Lovely grounds, pool area and a patio with amazing mosaic tile where our breakfast was served made to order.

Amicable, quiet staff that were very helpful. We stayed here on our last night of a 2 week trip and it was a nice break from the hustle and bustle of Capri and Amalfi. It was quiet and easy to navigate with some nice restaurants within walking distance.

My husband chose this Villa for our honeymoon - he booked a Junior Suite - it was beautiful. Large room with beautiful views of the mountains and surrounding lush gardens with pool. A lovely terrace. A fridge inthe room which was very handy. Only criticism we stayed 7 nights and had the same continental breakfast served each day with no variation - which was a shame as by day 5/6 it just became a bit standard. Also there was no tea or coffee making facilities in our room which, when you wake early and fancy a cup of tea and not have the facilities - that is a shame, especially as this was the Junior Suite and the Villa was not cheap - in fact pretty expensive!! The staff were attentive and helpful. We enjoyed our stay in Sorrento and the Villa. If you are looking for somewhere quiet and private this is the place. If you are looking for a hotel with entertainment, etc this is not the place for you. The Villa was approx, 20 minute walk into Sorrento - which for us was great as we enjoy walking - some may find that not so good. Local bus services do operate and local taxi into Sorrento very expensive!

Room tip: Ask for a room with view of the garden, as roadside/front of hotel can be a bit noisy

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It looks like it was once a very large house and was turned in to a small boutique hotel. The grounds are beautiful and it makes you want to linger in the hammock instead of head out for a long day of adventuring. The staff is small and helpful. They were always there to answer any question and help us make dinner reservations. The decor is something out of a design magazine so if you're looking for beautiful surroundings in a quaint hotel this is your place. About a 15 minute walk to downtown Sorrento and slightly longer to the marina for the ferry to Capri and other sights. I would give it 5 stars but their AC was out the entire length of our stay. We were there when the weather was nice so we could leave the windows open so it turned out ok but not quite as cool as we would have liked for sleeping.

Room tip: Sea view rooms have a lovely view but have street noise on weekends if you leave the windows open. Not a problem if the windows are closed.
