Although we didn't meet Andrea, he kept in touch via text and was very prompt in answering any questions we had. His father met us on arrival and with the help of an interpreter made us feel very welcomed indeed.
The apartment is perfectly situated in the heart of the town and all restaurants and shops within 2-3 minutes walking distance. Just open the door and you are in the middle of the old town with its atmospheric streets and beautiful churches and buildings. The apartment is beautifully furnished and the views from the roof top terrace are just fantastic. A perfect setting for pre dinner drinks watching the sunset accompanied by the sounds of the near by church bells, and then post dinner night caps, wonderful place to stay !
Parking is plentiful outside the town walls with a short walk of 2-3 minutes from the apartment.
Stairs are steep up to the bed room and then to the roof and would not be suitable for those who have mobility issues.
Overall, a great place to stay which I would highly recommend but bear in mind the steps.
We went back after 3 years to sansepolcro and stayed in Andrea's place in the center of town again. Great welcome. The place is simply an enjoyable and quirky experience. You enter from the Main Street in the centre into a different intimate world. After 85 steps you arrive above sansepolcro with a beautiful view of the city and its environs. The accomdation is over 2 floors in one of the old towers over the city. A massive bed / sitting room with a full scale roof terrace on top with uninterrupted views of sansepolcro with only the birds to share the experience. Drop down and step out the door and you are back in the hart of sansepolcro in the middle of the shoppers and people going to the restaurants in the centre of town. The owner simply provides all including sun loungers, outdoor table and chairs for sunny days on the terrace amidst the church towers. You have full facilities to cook etc... it is for us the best base to explore not only sansepolcro but also arrezzo, ravenna etc.. and come back here in the evening. Keep an eye out for the balestre practicing on the way in from the car park. Thanks Andrea and we will be back soon.
We loved our stay at this amazing tower in Sansepolcro. It was ideal for us - we like staying in town where we can walk to everything, enjoy the restaurants, shops, historic attractions - there were many. There is a free car park 5 minutes walk from the apartment (no driving in the historic center where the apartment is located). The highlight was undoubtedly the rooftop deck where we aimed to spend an hour or two every evening. You access the deck via steps from the bedroom. The apartment itself is comfortable and has everything needed for a wonderful vacation.
My wife and I are very happy to have spent part of our holiday in this wonderful place. We have visited Tuscany several times in the past and we will put this apartment in the top positions of all our experiences.
The apartment is exactly as in the pictures or even better. The ratio quality/price is very good.
The place is amazing: a comfortable kitchen, a very romantic and wide bedroom and an outstanding terrace. The view from the terrace is something we would recommend to experience once in a life.
The location is excellent as well. The Tower is in the heart of the town with its entrance along the main pedestrian street which is full of shops, good bars and restaurants. It is also very quiet in the night: no noises from the street can reach the house.
We loved this place and we consider it a five stars apartment!!!

If you have the opportunity to stay here then definitely do; it's as stunning as it looks. It's been very stylishly renovated and is very well equipped so you can be assured of a comfortable and relaxing stay. It felt like our little secret luxury bolt hole, accessible by a door off the main street and up several flights of stairs but then ... so tranquil. And the view... wow.
Andrea was fantastic to deal with and he ensured we had a great stay. We were also given a lovely welcome gift of prosecco and biscuits.
We booked to stay in the town on the basis of this accommodation however the town is equally great. Lots of nice restaurants, a few museums and beautiful historical buildings. Nice to escape the typical Tuscan tourist trail too ... and practise my terrible Italian.
