What a great hotel, the staff was so welcoming and caring! The roof top pool had a magical view of Positano and the bay. Great location in the middle of the village, with high rated restaurants close (tourist traps can be found in the harbour).

Our stay in this boutique hotel was definitely the highlight of our Amalfi Coast Tour. We literally regretted to only spend 2 nights in our new favorite place to stay in Positano!

We booked a Deluxe Special Room with Sea View, knowing that it was supposed to be equipped with indoor or outdoor jacuzzi, after drooling over the amazing pictures of the rooms on the website. The room was even prettier in person and the sea view from the very large terrace of our room was absolutely breathtaking from the very moment that we opened the door. Our only “regret” would be that we had the built-in jacuzzi/bath tub and were expecting to get a stand-alone one, either indoor or outdoor. Of course, the room was very clean and very well-decorated with a mix of traditional and more contemporary Italian-style elements.

The view from the main terrace terrasse of the hotel where the swimming pool and bar are located is absolutely stunning. It is also where you will enjoy a very nice and tasty breakfast in the morning.

The location is good too, not far from the city center and main beach Spiaggia Grande (10-15 min walk). The hotel also has a small parking, which is very enjoyable in crowded Positano during Summer!

The hotel’s staff was always extremely kind and welcoming, ready to help you with any of your requests and to give you lovely restaurant recommendations or local tours. The smile on their face was truly communicative!
We had the best experience here, and we were very sad to leave after (only!) 2 nights.

All in all, based on our experience Albergo Punta Regina truly is a remarkable 4-star hotel with 5-star standards. We can only recommend you to drop by and make the best of your stay in very postcard-worthy Positano!

This is a nice hotel in a good location but guests should be aware of the “standard” room. I booked through hotels.com and the standard room stated it had a balcony and did not mention anything else. We had wrongly assumed that given it was Positano (and an expensive hotel) that we would have a view if there was a balcony. As it turns out, the Standard rooms are on the first floor, street level on the Main Street in the town, and the “balcony” (maybe 6 inches wide) is not a true balcony and faces an extremely busy street / a wall. It is very noisy, both with reception on that floor and with the cars passing by, making it very challenging to sleep.

To the hotel’s credit, they did email before to note that the room was 1st floor and without sea view, however it is very easy to miss as it looked like a generic hotels.com email. Additionally, there was no mention of street level or the fact that the balcony is basically just an sliding door or “French balcony” as reception called it. Management did offer to find us a new hotel, but as we were only here for 2 nights it was not worth it. It was our fault for missing the email, but I feel compelled to write this post as I am sure many other people have made the same mistake as the marketing is not clear in my opinion — I noted this to the front desk both during our stay and at departure.

Thank you very much indeed to have found the time to leave a review about your staying at the Punta Regina, we are always happy to know if we can improve our job in order to try to satisfy our guests completely: for this reason on our website ALL the rooms categories are provided of a detailed description, unfortunately not all the vendors allow us to place each single detail even if we try, it is why we always invite our guests to reconfirm their reservation even sending through a double confirmation. We were and are sorry to know the hotel did not meet your expectation while at the same time many other guests enjoy their stay in our lovely Standard rooms which respect their category and the rate assigned. We really hope to have the chance to welcome you once again in a near future to let you feel the real sense of a Punta Regina's experience.

I can't say enough about this gorgeous hotel and the fabulous staff! I worked as an editor for a travel magazine for several years and then in the hotel industry so I've have stayed in gorgeous hotels in Italy (Splendido, Ville de Este, etc)...this is definitely one of my favorites! It is not a huge hotel so you feel like you are staying with family. Our room was large enough for our family of 5 (huge!) and had a spectacular view. The pool was wondeful after a day in town or at the beach and cocktails were a welcomed treat! The breakfast spread was delish with plenty of baked delicious items, fresh fruit and eggs, bacon, etc.
But as many have said before...the best part of this hotel is the staff. They went out of their way to help, made us feel comfortable and made sure we had an amazine trip to Positano! I feel so lucky and grateful to have found this hotel and to have had the opportunity to meet the wonderful people of Punta Regina!
We can't wait to go back and see all of our new friends...and that amazing view!
