This charming Hotel sits high above the sea in Positano. We arrived early to find our room ready which was great. We were shown to our room and were very impressed by the cleanliness, size and view.We stayed in the Sirene suite (room 4 ) for 5 nights. The room is large with a great terrace and large bathroom. The view over positano is spectacular.Breakfast is good and we had lunch one day which was excellent too.
The room was very quiet at night and the air con was perfect when we needed it.The family run atmosphere adds to the charm and all the hotel has a great feel of relaxation and restfulness about it.
Positano is a challenge to get around and you dont really appreciate the difficulties until you have gone down (and more importantly) up the steps a few times!Thankfully there is a stop for the internal bus just outside the hotel-my advice is use it!! Its 1 euro 20 cents per trip and tickets can be bought on the bus or in local tobacco shops-it might just save your legs from crumbling under the strain of positano steps. There are many good restaurants on via positea and one of our favourites was cafe positano.Watch the bars at the beach front-drinks are expensive. We got a transport from/to naples airport with Angelo-(Angelo-driver sorrento)he was superb (punctual, great english spoken, and a careful considerate driver)and i would recommend him to anyone coming from naples to positano.More
