This hotel is the best I have ever stayed in! The views from the rooms are incredible. The food was fantastic, always fresh and a huge spread at breakfast.
The service made us feel like royalty. Nothing was too much trouble for the hotel staff who always went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Every single staff member smiled and said hello to us every day. Their service was fantastic.
The rooms were spacious, comfortable and decorated in a beautiful way.
If we ever return to Positano, I would gladly stay here again!

Having celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary earlier in the year, my wife like many ladies is drawn to Italy. This was our second trip to Italy, but our first experience of the Amalfi coast and weren't disappointed, it was picturesque.
Our hotel was situated in the heart of Positano. We received a warm welcome from the staff, especially the retired staff member who calls up the hotel to send help for your baggage - never decline this assistance! 106 steps from road level to hotel reception - well worth the effort.
Our room was spotlessly clean with beautiful views over Positano and the bay. Helped along with an unexpected but much appreciated complimentary bottle of Prosecco.
Breakfast was served in the beautiful dining room with spectacular views on a self-service continental basis, with plenty of choice and food regularly re-stocked.

We ate 3 of our evening meals in the hotel and each time we were very satisfied. The staff were friendly and approachable with one in particular very knowledgeable and happy to share her love for history of the area.
The reception staff were always available to discuss our plans for the day and help with transport and route planning with their benefit of local knowledge, nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed trips to Capri, Ravello, Pontone and Pompeii amongst others

Overall a very successful trip looking forward to returning one day in the future. However, I think we could find all the steps a bit much if we leave it until our Golden Wedding anniversary!

Very beautiful view and very courteous staff. The food was very good. It was a great quiet place to get away from the tempo of the tourist shops down by the beach. Folks should understand that it is quite unusual to drive directly to a hotel in Positano. Ask your travel agent to find out how many steps up/down are required to get to the lobby. We had 107 steps upward to reach the hotel lobby. But their porter was very gracious and carried our luggage.

In an effort to conserve energy your room key must be placed in an activation slot in the room to use the lights and TV. Also, if a door to the beautiful balcony is opened that also turns off the air conditioning. This was not a real problem except during cell phone charging time. As you would remove your room key to go somewhere your iPad or iPhone or other charging device would not longer charge until you return. Our only suggestions would be a dedicated outlet that could always be on for recharging electronic devices.

No better view can be seen in Positano than from the Conca D'Oro.

We absolutely fell head over heels for the Conca d'Oro. They gave us a room on the top level, which elevated us high above the Mediterranean, with seaside views worthy of a Hollywood romance flick. Located at the end of the terrace, our space was plenty roomy (especially by Euro standards), with doors that opened out onto a sweeping patio with enough expanse to host a family reunion.

Warning to those not inclined toward physical activity: As in many cases on the Almafi Coast, there is no road to the hotel, and you have to walk a stone path quite a ways up a hill to arrive at the hotel reception. (And the third level, where we stayed, does not have elevator service.) But being Colorado hikers and skiers, we loved the stroll up to the cliffside perch, from where you could survey the entirety of Positano, quite possibly the most beautiful village on earth.

We had a bird's eye view of even the action down on the small village beach far below and the twinkling night lights of the homes, shops and hotels dotting the incredibly steep cliffs. The staff was as warm and helpful as you could ever ask for, and we enjoyed meals in the hotel restaurant as much as anywhere in the rest of Positano. All in all, it was a most unforgettable three days and nights as I've spent anywhere.

Room Tip: If you're schlepping lots of luggage or don't care for stairs, ask for a room on one of the lower levels.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in Positano and had a wonderful time! We had a room with a terrace which is definitely what I would recommend if staying in this hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel restaurant is also wonderful with great food and a spectacular view. We would definitely stay here again if we were back in the area!

The only downside to the view is that there are quite a lot of steps. From the road, the steps are manageable so if you don't want to walk a ton of steps to get to the beach I would suggest taking the long way by taking the road down to the beach however if you want to go straight down to the beach there are over 500 steps. My husband and I are in our mid 20s so didn't mind it but if could be difficult for someone who was older.

Room Tip: best rooms are on the 4th floor with a terrace
