We were in Portovenere for a wedding and this hotel was chosen for us. We were not disappointed! This hotel overlooks looks a Marina, with mountains in the distance. A lavish European breakfast was included, the dining area overlooking the same view. The rooms were clean, spacious and well equipped. The staff was very friendly and very accomadating. They also have a full service restaurant for lunch and dinner and a bar. We had dinner there one night and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this hotel for couples, singles and families. It is a short walk to the center of the village and the local attractions.

Finely run establishment super clean, best positioned to visit the 5terre (but frankly would not want to stay in a hotel in 5terre). This hotel has it all, great staff, super breakfast all hand made no commercial filler food. Lovely seaside location with full dinner restaurant to boot! Everything is fabulous here. Going back next year. If you seek quiet and calm Portovenere is for you. With 4.5 million visitors expected this year to Cinqueterre, it is a tourist nightmare. The 5terre, albeit cute, not deserving of all the hype IMHO.

Room tip: Request a sea view there are several to choose from (book early)

Our travel agent was supposed to book us in Monterosso and ended up booking us here. We were very upset to say the least. Couldn't change it so went with it. I went in wanting to hate this place, but I fell in love with the hotel.. the staff... the location and once I went to Monterosso I was SO glad that we ended up here. The room wasn't huge but ample size for two big and tall adults. The bathroom was small and the shower was really small but it did the job and thats all we could ask for. It was clean and that waster important to me. The room we stayed in was on the 3rd floor and had an incredible view of the bay out of our window. We walked through the village and the beach was very close along with the famed ruins here. This is the most charming town and the hotel is a perfect fit. We got in late and had dinner at the restaurant just to make it easy... and we met Luigi. I would say to go to this hotel just to meet this man. He is the waiter and he is wonderful.. funny and welcoming and his food and wine recommendations were incredible. We are foodies and love/ study wine... and we loved everything he recommended. And its honestly the best deal in PV. SO inexpensive in comparison! And the view is top notch. I would stay here again if we came back for sure!

Room tip: All rooms seem to have a sea view but the higher the better!

A great hotel with all rooms facing the ocean. The views day and night are spectacular. Our room was a good size and bathroom also above average size with complimentary slippers and good amenity. Good location for swimming beach and a two min walk to port, restaurants and old town. Terrace very pretty. Only downside was breakfast. Very average with supplies being depleted and not replenished half hour before conclusion.

We stayed at Hotel Paradiso from 27.6. -3.7. 2017. The hotel is definitely very good. The staff are friendly and the room as well as breakfast is good.
From the hotel there is only a short distance to the harbour and several good beaches (you have to pay for sunbeds and umbrellas).
Remember to book parking. We highly recommend Hotel Paradiso.
