Da Paolo is in the central piazza in Portovenere and open for lunch and dinner. Fresh seafood seems to be the speciality. We had a grilled shrimp & lobster plate that was delicious. We later had a pizza for lunch that was less exciting. Nice thin crust, but soggy. Short on sauce, what was there was pretty thin, and meat toppings were in very short supply. I know "pizza toppings" means different things outside the USA, but this was sparse even by those standards. People were great, and a very nice outside dining area, as well as intimate tables inside for dinner, make for a charming experience.
