“Lovely apartment & useful Peschici travel tips”

This was our first visit to southern Italy and Peschici. Hardly anyone in Peschici speaks English. Dont let this put you off from visiting this lovely, charming town.

We managed to get by and enjoyed the challenge!.

The town has plenty of local traditional shops which we used on a daily basis.

The proprietors in the shops were very friendly and helpful irrespective of the language barrier.

The apartment is lovely, very nicely decorated and very comfortable with all of the mod cons that you would have at home.

It is close to all of the local amenities. The terrace with the sea view is fabulous.

There is a car park nearby.

There is a cd /radio in the kitchen /diner of which we made good use.

For all you social media and internet addicts you will be pleased to note that Mirapoli also has wifi .

There is a beach about 10 minutes away on foot. There are lots of steps on the way to the beach, so be warned. You can drive to the beach if you dont fancy the walk.

A word of caution for those driving. Beware of the tricky one way system in the town and bendy roads .

Pina Gel has the BEST gelato in Peschici. Carusel Pizza near the Tamoil petrol station does great pizza. La Taverna does great seafood .

Thank you Jan for the above recommendations.

A trip to Vieste is worth the effort. It is well signposted and 30 minutes drive from Peschici. There is a large beach. It was v quiet when we were there as it was out of season.

The town is very stylish and sophisticated. Lovely shops and bars, palm tree lined promenades and squares.

We had a fabulous stay in Mirapoli and loved Peschici.

We would reccommend a stay here.

“lovely apartment”

We, me and my three children (17, 10, 10), stayed there for a week during the first week of June. The apartment with its pleasant interior design is very comfortable and clean. We appreciated particularly the wonderful terrace with the stunning view over sea. I didn't need my car at all, as the flat is in the centre of Peschici just outside the antique walls of the old town.

The people around were helpful and nice but at least I have to specify that we are Italian and so we had no communication problems. My twin girls went around on their own without any problems and did, for the first time of their life, shopping without mummy! So it was a very nice experience for the little ones of our family.

My children have only one disapproval: there was no tv ! Well, me, I don't agree with them at all ...

I've already booked my next holiday in Peschici in one of Anita & Jan's apartments!

“Lovely, comfortable apartment with great sea view”

I agree with all previous reviews. This is a very nice flat, with a particularly lovely, airy, light-filled living area with fantastic views over the sea.

Anita and Jan obviously have an eye for interior design - expect clean Scandinavian lines and attractive decor and furnishings. They maintain their properties to the same high standard and comfort as they would expect if they were living there themselves, which I understand they do for part of the year. In fact we had the pleasure of meeting them during our stay and they were very hospitable and helpful - booking a restaurant for us and supplying an extra coffee machine we requested.

I've now had the good fortune of staying in two of Anita's properties in this delightful town, unspoilt by mass foreign tourism - probably partly because it's a bit of a trek from Bari airport. Rumour has it that the runway at Foggia is being extended which would cut over an hour off the travelling time. So bite the bullet regarding the length of journey, book yourself into one of Anita's excellent properties and have a wonderful time before Ryanair starts landing at Foggia and thousands of your fellow countrymen start making their way to Peschici!

“Perfection in Peschici”

Mirapoli is the perfect place from which to explore the Gargano Peninsula. The apartment has everything that you could possibly need and an outstanding view from the terrace. The apartment is cheery and bright due to the huge windows everywhere. All of the appliances are up to date and Anita and Jan have made wonderful use of every space. Getting to know Anita and Jan was an added bonus. Anita helped me trace my father's footsteps during WW2, as he was the commanding officer of a radar unit stationed in Peschici for 9 months just before the end of the war. Thank you Anita and Jan for all of your thoughtfulness - not just in the perfection of your beautiful accommodations but in all your help in making us feel at home in Peschici.

“Top quality apartment”

Top quality apartment, very modern, spacious, sunny and clean. Beds super comfy. Views out to sea great and of white washed village around, view below not very attractive, but not a big deal. Quite a lot of stairs up to the apartment, but if youre fit and healthy its not a problem. Dogs barking were annoying. Very comfortable stay and loved the terrace looking out to sea.
