March is probably not the best time of the year to visit the Adriatic, the wind was howling and the weather was more English than Mediterranean but you are in Italy and staying in a palatial hotel so that more than compensates. The hotel is spectacular if you like marble and Venetian glass, the chandeliers in the reception are and halls are eye catching. Service and welcome is warm and attentive. I had room 312 with a balcony looking on the pool and sea. I suspect most people take a spot on the beach and use the pool as the Adriatic is not the cleanest sea in the Mediterranean. The room was very spacious with shower and jacuzzi bath, bath robe and slippers provided. Internet was fast and free (rare to get both in any hotel). Take the time to enjoy breakfast, most enjoyable in the open air by the pool (closed off this time of year). The white jacketed waiters are very attentive, ask for freshly squeezed orange juice, you will be disappointed with the self service juices. The choice is enormous and caters for all tastes. This is a holiday town with vibrant nightlife in the summer. It's quiet in early spring. Lots of restaurants that you can walk to, but it's worth taking the time to visit Ravenna, famous for its mosaics. Definitely my favorite hotel in the part of the world.

I stayed a night in Palace Hotel for business. Compared to other hotels in the area, it has grand outside decoration and a nice entrance. The lobby had great service. The corridors and rooms were definitely above average decorated. The floor in the room was covered in white tiles with nice blue patterns (very different). The breakfast buffet had a wide selection. I am sure that in the summer this would be a great place for vacation. Wifi was included in the rate.

Beautifully located hotel right on the beach and walking distance to town where shops and restaurants await. The buffet breakfast and lunch are amazing. We appreciated felling comfortable and welcomed by all the staff, everyone was genuinely attentive. Although we had a beach view we also were in ear shot of the pool which at night had an irritating noise that was disturbing as well as the automatic window openers that surround the patio area. We slept with the shutters open to welcome in the morning sun I'm sure if they were closed the noise would not have disturbed us. Hotel was wonderful overall.

Room Tip: Higher is usually better but be sure to ask for an ocean view

Nice stay at this beachfront hotel. Very attentive service during the whole of our stay. This hotel must have the highest staff to guest ratio we have seen in a long time. Decor was dated but without having lost its charm. They have a car park underneath. If you arrive by car just park it in the hotel entrance and they take it off you from there. DId not find the restaurant very exciting (it seems to close early in the evening as well), whilst breakfast on the terrace next to the pool was great. The hotel is close to centre of town where you find many small chic shops, and also bars and discos.
