Really convenient location across from train station. Fresh breakfast and staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They were even able to store my luggage while I was site seeing in Venice which was very important to me. Grocery store located 2 blocks aways.

After our week-long cruise, we stayed at the hotel for one night since we had to catch our respective flights to Asia and the USA the following day. We took a short taxi ride to the hotel from the cruise terminal and after checking in the hotel, we crossed the street to the train station, bought bus/vaporetto tickets valid for 24 hours and boarded the bus to Piazzale Roma, a 15 minute ride away. The room (for 3) as well as the bathroom were quite spacious and very clean. We likewise enjoyed the buffet breakfast. The reception personnel were quite polite and helpful. After checking out of the hotel, I took a short walk to the bus station with my bags and after purchasing an 8 euro ticket, boarded the bus to the airport. It was very convenient and we would stay in the same hotel should we return to Venice - much better than staying in the center of Venice which was so crowded.

We stayed at this hotel for a week. It is opposite the station in Mestre. We enjoyed breakfast, which offered a good choice. We ate in the Soul Kitchen one evening and were happy with the food.
The location is fantastic to access nearby cities. We took a train to Treviso which is a beautiful town.
We bought a 7 day tourist transport card which enabled us to use local buses and the vaporetti. Opposite the hotel there is a bus stop which brings you into Venice.
We also went by the vaporetti to the islands Burrano, Murrano, Torcello and the Lido.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room on the top floor

We were at the plaza hotel. I think overall it's a good hotel. We stayed there for two nights. First of all Allis at the reception was great. She took the time to welcome us and give us so much details about the city. Thank you Allis.
Room was OK. Renovated room with NO view on the 3rd floor. However it was very clean.
Restaurant was a different experience. When I looked at the bill there was a 4 euro that was UNEXPLAINABLE.
So make sure to go through the details of your bill.
Thx.

Agree with some of the other reviews, only 1 plug socket in room is a bit restricting in this day and age of phones and tablets.
Its not a 4* hotel based on my experience - its not bad and it felt clean and spacious - I would compare it to a really good Holiday Inn Express as the Breakfast is buffett style, continental with bacon sausages and scrambled egg....can get busy in the breakfast area...what makes this hotel is the location........
Its a simple 10 minute train journey from the station at Mestre opposite the hotel for €1.25 per person one way - easy to get a ticket (Make sure you validate them on the platform using the green stamper boxes) - and that saves you the High prices of staying on Venice itself.
The hotel is attached to the Soul Kitchen Restaurant next door and you can charge meals to your room (with discounts available) - great food not overly expensive ..if a limited menu. Used it twice for dinner and once for lunch during my stay.
The bus from the Airport stops at the station so easy transport links (and cheap transport links) make it an ideal base...just needs to work on those 4*s

Room Tip: Back of Hotel away from the main road and Railway station (no room would offer a view of Venice)
