“Excellent villa for large group close to the beach - highly recommended”
Reviewed 31 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We stayed in this nice villa for 2 weeks and enjoyed it very much. We were two families (4 adults and 6 kids) and the villa can offer enough space, a very large pool and is less than 5 mins walk from a nice beach. The palm garden, the separate kitchen and the kids tennis court are all good assets to make the stay enjoyable. The house is well looked after and if you need Gianvito can help you anytime. We would certainly come back again.

“Fantastic property”
Reviewed 6 May 2015 for a stay in April 2015

we went with the whole family (4 kids, 6 adults, 2 of them >age 70, 1 of them with a broken leg unfortunately) to this property at the end of March. Although it was a bit chilly this year it was a fantastic opportunity to stay there. This property is very family friendly and also suitable for all ages and disabilities as it has bedrooms/bathrooms on the ground floor and also enough beds which can easily separated to 2 beds when kids a sleeping in one room. We had a lot of space for the children to run around, with walls around the garden so nobody would get lost. Yes there is a swimming pool but this is surrounded by a fence, the doors can be closed if you feel this would be a safety issue.
Although the weather was not ideal we even used the unheated pool on some days, the children thoroughly enjoyed the slide and the jumping board.
The facilities were brilliant, the kitchen was definitely the main centre of the house, it is cosy and has all the equipment you need.
The beach was still a bit dirty as the season had not yet started but it did not matter as we stayed mainly in the property or did one day trips to Marsala, Agrigento ect.
Although we stayed there out of season there is a well stocked supermarket open (Conad) a few miles away, and also the restaurant "Delphi Beach hotel" is very recommendable and typically used by the Sicilians.
The caretaker of the property is Gianvito, a lovely gentleman who provided us with a nearly 24 hours/7 days a week service in case we had some problems (e.g. we needed more blankets and radiators as it was quite cold) and responded very quickly. He only speaks Italian which did not matter to us as my father in law speaks Italian very well. He had also a very lovely way to play/greet the children. Thanks again for all your help Gianvito, we will miss you!
I also have to praise the service provided by Scent of Sicily. if you need any help then you also can contact them in English and they can then inform Gianvito. We contacted them right after arrival in Catania and stayed with them in contact via text until we met Gianvito who brought us to the property.
If you want to stay in North Western part of Sicily and you have a car then this is the best property you can get.

“Fabulous billa”

We loved our time in this villa. The pool is the main attraction, it's huge and the kids were happy with the slide for hours. The gardens are large and filled with huge palms which is v romantic. The outside eating area is relaxed, and the cooking annex great for families, to be able to keep the cooking activity separate. The bedrooms are ok, not cosy as tiled floors in the Italian way, but authentic and romantic. There is a huge tv and blu ray player, which actually proved rather shamefully useful in the heat of the middle of the day. Its not for you if you are after isolation and total peace and quiet, it's amid other holiday villas, and you can hear the beach bar music from the outside eating area late in the eve (but not the bedrooms which have sound windows, so sleeping is fine)' we kind of liked the holiday feeling of the cheesy music wafting across. Gianvito who looks after you is v reliable, and charming, he arranged for the pool pump to be fixed within hours of our noticing a problem, so we weren't impacted at all. One thing to point out is that you use the air con in the bedrooms, you will likely pay extra for electricity (which seems to be pretty standard for Italian rentals), we paid 80euro for four rooms for two weeks, which didn't seem bad to be able to sleep comfortably (and the villa is good value overall).

If you do stay here, don't miss Kibar on the main road up from the villa, it's fab for morning coffee and pastry, and eve drinks and dinner.

“Fantastic place for a true sea and sun vacation”
Reviewed 31 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

The villa is great, with 5 separate bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 kitchens (one of which is 30 m2 and is in a separate building between the villa and the swimming pool. There is also a large living room which we never used since we spent all our time outside, in the patio, the garden, or in the swimming pool.
The pool is great (about 15m length, you can really have a good swim), surrounded by palm trees, and well equipped with chairs, mattresses, etc.
There is also a tennis court, which is smaller than the regular size but large enough to be used (when the sun is not too high in the sky!).
The beach is reachable in 5 minutes walk on a side road. It is long and nice, but rather full. On Saturday and Sunday it is practically unusable, due to the incredible amount of people populating it. During the week it is fine, especially int he morning.
For food shopping you have to use the car, but there are large supermarkets in a range of 5-10 minutes drive.
Marsala is reachable in 10 minutes drive. It has very good parking places and a beautiful and well kept old town centre, which gets incredibly lively and populated after 2200, until late night. We were there practically every evening.
In summary, a great place if you want to spend some time in a large group together, with great facilities, lots of space and opportunities for both relaxing and staying together.
