Although the accommodation, was basic, the room was serviced daily. Be prepared to challenge noisy guests to hush.. The turnover of tour groups seems high. The staff in all areas were generally very helpful, attentive, pleasant to interact with. Really enjoyed the food, table service .

Room Tip: Higher floors may avoid noise from outside gatherings. /parties

A group of friends that regularly travel together to visit cultural sites and use decent hotels chose Hotel San Marco. After the beautiful Hotel Holiday in Bolsena Hotel san Marco was a mess. The offered rooms had a strange smell. The had not the propperness expected at that level . The most curious thing was that the breakfast for the group was served separatly at a much leer Level than that of other guests in the hotel.hotel . we were very annoyed und cannot advise to book this hotel.

we had no doubt that we would have read on this site.
Now we are sorry, but we have to disappoint you by saying that this hotel, despite vs invitation and that of someone else, we really are always occupied by groups and all nationalities: German, Spanish, Austrian, British and Asian. Unless Quach exceptions that you can read below on this site, the remaining thousands of visitors did not feel like you absolutely. About odors in the rooms, we have personally visited all the rooms and smelly vs just was not there at all. unless a customer vs that saw three rooms and none of them he liked ,. but a matter of taste, there have been no reported complaints or we would have done.
about the service, the same as is done to all our guests. the room where normally you have breakfast, has the size to contain the groups that need space given that they are numerous and have breakfast at the same time. Not that you have not been given something that others have had, some eggs in our buffet there are even for customers if not booked an American breakfast. have been given anyway even if you have not paid, and that makes a difference in our hotel, the attention to the customer, even when it is charged, as in your case.
the problem would go and search for the service that your reference agency has booked.
about the property with which you make a comparison, it is a matter of taste.

Definitely NOT a 4 star Hotel at all! Photos of the Hotel make it look far more interesting/impressive that it is in fact. Rooms & bathrooms very small, very basic and no views at all, and staff need training in how to service guests. Located in main street - but not the Old City which can be walked/bus too.

Room Tip: what can one say?

I expect most visitors to this hotel are in a tour group (Travelsphere) like us and therefore have no choice of where to stay but if you do have a choice then there must be better places in Fiuggi. I dont know why tour companies use these town centre hotels. It must be hell for the coach drivers trying to unload the luggage of 44 guests on the busy main street with mad Italian drivers whizzing by in all directions. On arrival in our room we were greeted by a definite smell of drains from the bathroom which after turning on all the taps and flushing the loo a few times was somewhat dissipated but it never completely went away. Although the room had a mini-fridge it did not work and there was no safe. Its always the luck of the draw but our room looked onto a flat roof which had been laid out with a few potted plants all sadly neglected: otherwise the room was adequate!

The evening meals were fairly dull and basic. The hotel seemed to have a thing about cooking all their vegetables, then letting them go cold and setting them out in a salad bar: there was very little in the way of a proper salad selection. OK if you like cold boiled spinach etc.

Yes, definitely go elsewhere if you have a choice!

centrally located amongst shops etc away from the old town. nice park nearby well worth a visit.
hotel is set back from the road with small gardens chairs etc in the front. Family run and good side of average pleasant enough. As with Italian 3 star hotels rooms are small but clean. Food is part buffet and part table service and at best average (cold veg starter) Fiuggi is a good place with spa and day trip distance from Rome and Frascati both worth a visit if staying in Fiuggi.

Room Tip: we had a front room which was quiet enough even though Fiuggi is a busy little place at times
