Whilst only a small hotel, the manager went out of his way to ensure we had a comfortable time. The rooms were neat and tidy, and the air con worked.
Located right on the dock waterfront, its within easy walking distance to all there is to see in Chiogia.
We stayed here as we were able to do a day trip to Venice, without having to stay too close to Venice and its crowds. TIP one then is to visit Venice, there is a ferry leaving at 9.00am and returning at 5.00pm, Raphael Navigazione line, located on the causeway between Gioggia and Sottomarina, great trip takes over an hour, but you see a lot of the Venetian Lagoon.
TIP two, eat at one of the small sidestreet or backstreet eateries, even the one recommended by the manager, to get real authentic meals.
Chioggia itself, whilst not big, is a delightful small town, with plenty of history and side streets to discover.
Clodia Hotel is well located for all of this, and our warmest thanks go to the manager for making our time so enjoyable, even helping me to park the car.More
