This place felt really special. The room was small but comfortable with an enormous bathroom. Our dog was wonderfully looked after, especially by one of the doormen, who looked after her one morning! (Not part of their usual service, I suspect, but the staff took the initiative when we couldn't have late checkout) Bar is cosy & cocktails excellent. Best thing? The skill of the staff who were somehow entirely professional whilst retaining their own characters. A place of humanity.

We were here on a Group trip to hike in Tuscany. The Hotel has old world charme, maybe a little tlc needed. The rooms are comfortable, bathrooms ok with a few hiccups. I had Feedback from my fellow hikers!
We had half board-- breakfast was sufficient ( by Italian standards huge selection),
dinner was varied and delicious.
But what made the experience special was the personell, reception, dining room and bar were staffed with extraordinary people!! So I would return here anytime!!!

Room Tip: If you can get a room on the fourth floor your nights will be quieter!!

Great dinner and service, beautiful interior, spacious and clean rooms. We were staying only for one night with a group and liked it. The only downside were the noisy fan and the not functioning whirlpool bathtub in room 432.

This place was a blast from the past! Very nice old man at the front desk; he was extremely pleasant and helpful. Dinner service was beautiful and top notch/five star... even brought out the silver! Excellent front bar and café. Rooms were somewhat outdated but nice; they fit the style and genre of the place. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for and treated to feel as royalty.

Great friendly people. We felt home staying here in this beautiful hilltop city. Right from checkin to checkout the family staff sometimes went extra mile to make our stay comfortable. They guided us to go where and what to do. Rooms were clean and comes with a spa bathtub. Breakfast was adequate for italy standards. Hotel has connection with nearby activities and helps assist booking also cheaper than going directly. Also it has free parking. Dining from the hotel is little pricey and not much options within walking range. But then you would visit this town if you had a car and there are plenty of options within 10 mins drive.
