What a great pub! It's a really 'local' community, and Long Dock offers the best food offering. Lots of local fish, plus wide choice of other dishes. Really warm welcome and service. Recommend - pop out the back to the shop! You'll be glad you did!

Didn't stay for a meal as I like to be able to actually read the menu in a restaurant. This place was so dark I was tempted to turn on the torch on my phone. We chose to just go through the back and have ice-cream instead. It was average.

Very surprised at some of the comments from other reviewers. We ate here on two evenings whilst staying in the area and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The second evening was very busy but the staff seemed to be coping extremely well. We didn't have to wait too long for our food to arrive and on both evenings I had one of the specials from the blackboard and it was excellent.

Rude, arrogant people run this place!
We were staying on Loop Head, after a long day of touring around & enjoying the beautiful scenery, we lost track of time, it was 20:40 so decided to ring ahead, they said they finished serving food at 21:00 and we were 20mins from this place, so we asked could we order over the phone, and the answer was a blunt NO!! Thanks for ringing, and hung up!
Now, anyone that has been to this area will know, there aren't many places available for food, so they knew we were stuck.
They were not a bit obliging.
It was a Tuesday night, 6 people ringing ahead with an order, who would have also stayed on and had a few drinks... and they had NO interest and NOT a bit inviting to the area.
Will not be stepping inside the door of this place and I will certainly not be recommending this place!!

Ignorant!

I visited this restaurant last weekend and there was a wait on tables which is always a good sign, staff were more great. Fabulous food that was well presented. Lovely icecream parlour in a separate are out the back with other gorgeous bits to take home with you.
