“peacefull stunning location”
Reviewed 7 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

being on the lochside the view was absolutley beautiful. the ducks visited us every day and a nice variety of wee birds, the cabin was clean and given the fact that its in the woods
and its probably been a busy summer the furniture could do with upgrading a bit but I loved it and hope to go back The village shop does a great toastie and the social club wonderful meals. everybody is so friendly. Great walks for dogs. Thanks to rubhan for our last minute enquiry Just loved it!!

“So relaxing and a stunning location!”
Reviewed 8 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

The cabin was comfortable and well equipped. Fantastic use of space! The location was fantastic! Gorgeous views and so close to the loch, which was great for us as we were arriving by boat! There is a nearby shop, handy for essentials as very small, and a cafe attached which served light bites, yummy! A social club was open Thurs to Sun and was serving meals as well as the bar. The menu looked fab, though we didn't eat there.
We were out on the loch every day so enjoyed the scenery the most! The least enjoyable thing was the midges! Next time we will be more prepared for them!

“Beautiful location, good accomodation”
Reviewed 30 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We stayed here as a family for a long weekend. The cabin is in a stunning location and we saw the most amazing sunsets. Cabin is very cosy and neat. The bathroom however is looking tired and unkept; it is in need of an update and maybe even a good clean.

I would recommend this area/cabin for a relaxing, basic weekend to get away from it all!

“Perfect fishing trip”
Reviewed 20 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

This was booked as a annual fishing trip for 4 very keen pike and trout fishermen. The lodge location was beyond my expectations with its own private beach with fishing rights. The weather was beautiful when we arrived and we saw how nice this area is, although the heavens opened and it rained constantly for the next 2 days. We didn't let this get us down and decided to hire a couple of boats from dalavich boat hire and it proved to be a more than successful trip which we found our pike bay and caught 7 pike in an afternoon. The lodge itself was just ideal, the beds were very comfortable and plenty of space for 4 blokes and lots of fishing gear! There was a family of starlings that had made a home outside the double bedroom and was my alarm at 5am every morning! We will definitely be booking here again for our trip next year. Word of warning the midges can be a nightmare! Nets and lots of midge spray required!

Glad you had a successful fishing trip, despite the weather! Really nice of you to take time to write us a review. Please come again, or visit or other cabin Kilchurn, which is even closer to the water (and the midges). Thanks, Reuben.
