Loch Awe is a wonderful place to relax. This cabin was absolutely fine for our stay (2 adults and a teenager). The lack of wifi and no phone signal means having to rely on the radio for the weather, and I also recommend planning activities in advance, for that reason. Would I go again? Yes, in a nutshell, though seeing other cabin guests frolicking in their hot tubs made me think maybe an upgrade next time? Facilities are fine, cooked a few decent meals easily enough, and everyone had hot showers whenever they wanted. Overall, a good place to stay.
Great place to unwind. Loved seeing the local wildlife at close quarters. Cabin was comfortable, clean and had everything needed.
Lovely cabin, peaceful location (no phone signal or wifi) - just what we were looking for! We were only two so it was a nice size to relax, read and have dinner. Can sleep more but would suggest you'd need to get out and about to avoid getting in each other's way! Cabin a little dated but everything you need. Housekeeper helpful, and limited the inconvenience to us when cooker was replaced during our stay. Cafe in Dalavich is really friendly too.
We stayed at Strae in Feb so the surrounding cabins were mostly empty giving it a real air of seclusion which was lovely.
On arriving we found the cabin to be like a fridge, which wasn't particularly welcoming, perhaps this was an oversight by the owners, but taking the time to pop the heaters on before we arrived would have been a nice touch.
That said, the heaters were sufficient even for the time of year and the place was soon cosy and warm.
If you are looking for some down time in nature with plenty of woodland walks and wildlife, this is the place.
