Ate here three times while staying in Mecina. Very welcoming friendly staff, quote: "we have only a small space, but a big heart". Carlos recommended the roast pork on our first visit. It was fantastic. Next time I asked what was recommended that night and ended up having the pork again and lamb chops on our third visit. Can't praise this place highly enough. Great food (rustic) and great atmosphere. We shared the restaurant with a group of other walkers from the Tyrol on two evenings who brought their own instruments, and filled this little place with music and dancing. Loved it.

Stayed with friends in the area and was in here several times. Food and drink ok and plenty of chat with the locals which is always a plus.

This place is certainly unique and it has amazing views over the valley. If you sit outside you do sit right on the road edge although it is a very small road with just a few cars passing. The restaurant is full of character with pictures telling the family life history. The pizza itself was really tasty which it should be as they claim that this is the place where they were invented with a very interesting story for you to read. The salad was very rustic but I thought it was a charming place overall and the owner a very colourful character that interacted with all his customers. It seemed to be a place where the locals met for a drink.

We spent three weeks in the area and used this bar on numerous occasions. Food was average and a bit over priced for the quality although the pizzas were good. BEWARE of your change though, we were overcharged by 10 euros on two occasions which some of the locals said was a regular occurrence!! This spoilt our experience somewhat.

We were there twice for dinner because my husband wanted to see football there. The service was great and the view with the mountain backdrop was just amazing. However, they need to improve with the cooking skills. We had dinner there twice and very disappointed, the first night the pork was too salty, the second time the pork was not cooked properly and pizza dough was too twice and salty.

In the end we realised this pub is a great place for drinking and socialise but not an idea for good meal.
