We turned up for Sunday lunch without booking, so there was only space in the bar, which is pleasant although the comfortable furniture isn't ideal for eating a cooked meal. We both ordered the roast pork, which arrived reasonably soon and was excellent. Portions were generous and everything was good, with special mention of the carrots and the crackling and forgiveness for the roast potatoes being just a touch on the leathery side. Service was very friendly.
The likelihood of us being anywhere nearby at lunchtime is low, but if it happens we would be very happy to eat there again.
