I don't nit pick and I am easy going so just a couple notes. If you have kids the swim out suite is worth the extra money. If not don't bother unless you like ground floor no stairs rooms. It will guarantee to that which is nice. We stayed in building 4 which is close to everything. The hotel is well laid out to make it so everything is not a far walk. Beach is nice. There is a chair issue like all other resorts. Also like most carribean resorts the staff is pretty slow. Disorganized, and not well managed. Asking for a napkins 5 times from 5 different people is just silly. Bring your patience to the buffet with you. The restaurants.... They have a diamond club here. Basically you need that to eat at the restaurants because you can only make a reservation if you have that. So if you don't you need to ear there between 9 and 10. It was strange because when we ate there most of the tables were empty. Horse A1M someone left the tables stayed dirty and empty what are they turn people away at the door telling them at 7 o'clock at night they had to come back at 9:30 to eat. It was almost like they really didn't want people to eat at the restaurant unless they were in the Diamond Club. A few things that were great the Diamond club service over by the Diamond Club only pool area, the food truck was really good and the private dinner on the beach is fantastic and expensive. I do recommend a trip to the volcano and the sulphur mud Bath and the Chocolate tour restaurant is something to see after the volcano and have Desert there. Driving on the wrong side of the road is challenging but you do get used to it.

Had such a great experience! We felt like part of the family the entire time. The restaurants were all so good and had such a great variety to choose from. They provided me with an amazing birthday dinner on the beach with the works. Our butlers were so attentive and so sweet. One of our favorite memories is going on the wet and wild excursion we for sure recommend checking it out!!!! We had such a great time and cant wait to go back someday!

Room Tip: diamond club!

I was very skeptical about my planned vacation after having read some of the reviews on tripadvisor. Please don't listen to the negative reviews. The Royalton is a beautiful resort with so many great features. The staff is so warm and friendly. Big shout out to Dara, Tasha, Kaji, Emily and Jeremiez for great entertainment and bar service. The food exceeded our expectations. Smoothies every morning to order, jerk chicken at the food truck will live in my dreams and the a la carte restaurants were great. Excursions are fun. The hike to pigeon island is worth it, a boat ride to the pitons is exciting too. I would say the only down side is the time it takes to traverse the island by car. St. Lucia, the beautiful people and Royalton property will always be a special memory for my family!

We booked Royalton St. Lucia for a three night stay to experience the north of the island with some friends from the UK. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and were immediately impressed with the architecture and layout of reception together with the hospitality of the staff. The rooms were spacious and luxurious, I particularly loved the huge tub and the two showerheads in the bathrooms. We quickly changed and headed to the swim up pools on the beach. Cocktails and quality champagne made for a lovely start to our vacation. Did I mention the myriad food displays and entertainment where we danced away. We enjoyed breakfast and sampled the pizzas, tried the gym, the Teppanyaki restaurant the next day with a theatrical performance and tribute to Michael Jackson. There was so much fun and activities. The only negative would be expediting luggage to the rooms other than that we all had a fantastic time.

We stayed at Royalton and had a great holiday, the staff were pleasant and we loved the breakfast and buffet, excellent pools and bars but the entertainment could be better but we went out to many local restaurants.
