We only came here for a small bite to eat/drink. A Bacon and Brie Panini and a Latte was all we ordered to takeaway but we were very impressed, both were excellent. £4 looked bit extortionate for the Panini but you get a very good portion.

Overall, very good - and it filled a gap in our Sunny Day out in Brightlingsea.

We wandered down to the beach at Brightlingsea and noticed the Bateman's Tower cafe. We stopped for an ice cream and sat, sheltered from the chilly wind, behind the cafe's glass panels enjoying the sight of the boats coming and going from the harbour. Very friendly people with a good selection of hot and cold food at reasonable prices. We'd certainly recommend a visit if you're in the area

We had a rather well prepared fried egg bap, pesto wrap and a portion of chips .... everything was fresh, tasty and good value.
This isn't a classic 'greasy spoon' ... no grease at all on the fried eggs or the chips!
The only issue will be the English weather, since all seating is outside.

Visit here every time I go to Brighlingsea. This cafe offers a great range of food and drinks, along with friendly staff and great views of the Colne Estuary. Well worth taking the time to vist and watch the world go by for a while.
