We have stayed at Les Moissons for two years in the late July early August periods. There were two families including a five year old, two teenage boys and four adults. The accomodation is laid out very well, with an annexe for teemage boys which allowed us to have a holiday without the low gruntings of the teenage age group.
The property is set in large private grounds and has children's amenities, table tennis and large grounds to practise all those skills long forgotten, Cricket, rounders, baseball and a general runaround space. There is a boules area, but playing in the half light after wine can be "difficult".......but oh such fun!
The property is very well maintained and particular attention must be given to the heated outdoor pool. It is large, it was warm, and kept scrupiously maintained. Swimming and just general longing around the pool, was a pleasure.
Eating alfresco was the order of the day, with our own stone built barbecue to help for these occasions. The cooking facilities, together with dishwasher and washing machine all made life easier.
Finally, the owners are just a wonderul couple, who make the accommodation just an extension of their house and of themselves. They are welcoming, very amenable and wholly honest. Without these people, good accommodation would not be taken into the category of experience we enjoyed, trully fabulous.
From the private parking, from the safety for children embedded in the set up, to the enjoyment of the accommodation, this quitely secret part of France was an experience we look back on with warm smiles.
