I’ve been to this little cafe twice and rate it highly. To my mind it has several things working in its favour, the first being very fine food. The menu is inventive without being contrived and the food is delicious without straying into pretentious. It’s just good healthy food well prepared. The cafés interior deco is ‘modern village’ highlighted with a few quirky gift ideas. It’s an order at the counter arrangement but the staff are extremely pleasant and happy to explain the intricacies of the dishes. A very pleasant cafe.

Thanks so much for this lovely review - so glad you enjoyed your visits & our menu! We make almost everything in our little kitchen & work hard to create a menu that has something good for everyone using the best of our great local suppliers.

We recently had problems with our car in Eyam and the staff of this cafe were very kind towards us-The Cafe was actually closed but the owner lent us a phone and supported us to sort out the issue. Many thanks for everything, Nigel and Lyn x

We used Village Green to cater our wedding party for 32 people at my parent's house in Tideswell. We cannot compliment Sara and her team enough!! From the very beginning, she was very communicative. We live in Kent so we emailed back and forth. We had the chance to visit to talk about the menu options. Their food exudes local, environmentally friendly, seasonal, fresh, deliciousness. They arrived to set up providing their own dishes, serving spoons, and table clothes. We had many compliments from our guests. We enjoyed the food thoroughly. There was nothing left over the next day! My highlights were the Mediterranean roast veg with basil and tomato pesto frittata; puy lentil, tomato, mint, feta salad; and lemon boozy pots just to name a few! I'd highly recommend Village Green as caterers.

Dog-friendly cafe with delicious and differrent lunch options, healthy and appetising. Home-made quiche was lovely, and really good chorizo, mozzarella and chilli panini. Definitely recommend it.
