Wonderful week in this great house. Perfect for group of friends or big family with plenty of space to spread out if it’s rainy. Comfortable bedrooms. Dinas Cross I’d lovely with 2 good pubs and easy walkable access to a lovely cove and to the coastal path. There is a small well stocked supermarket . Newport and Fishguard are easy drives away and have loads too offer.
My family and another family stayed in this cottage for a week. The cottage itself is lovely and old and has retained may of its features. The house has some lovely decorations and furniture in it to make it feel like a home away from home. The house itself is in need of some repair,e,g, leaky shower and wobbly cupboard doors in kitchen. When we moved in the house was a bit grubby in areas particularly inside the kitchen cupboards and the many empty storage there is throughout the house. The garden/yard definitely needs looking at, unkempt with slates which have fallen off the dilapidated roof of the outbuilding. It is great for dogs though as it is secure. There is a velux window on the top floor which has no blind which means it is way too sunny in the mornings, we had to cover it with a towel and the fridge is not big enough for a house which can sleep 10 people. The beds are really comfortable, there is consistent wifi and it is situated well to explore the whole of Pembrokeshire. You cannot park outside this property but have to park down the road which is a bit of a pain when popping back with shopping or when you have left something in the car. The cars were safe the whole week though. Just a minor point but the dining room isn't made to fit more than 6 people at a time so if like us you have 2 families there it was very much like a Christmas dinner every night with people squashed on different chairs. It is warm and cosy throughout the house We had a great week in this cottage but feel the owner needs to spend a bit of money on repairing the basics in the house.
