Our stay was wonderful. The villa is located directly across the street from the ocean. Easy access to both Gibbs, and Mullins beaches. Villa could use some updating, but for what you pay, I think it is well worth it. It had pretty much everything we would need for a house stay on the island. Close to many restaurants located on the west coast. Will definitely be staying at Sprindrift again in the near future. I would recommend it to all my friends and family who are looking for a peaceful low key vacation spot with close friends, and/or family.

We booked a 5 night stay at Spindrift but due to a problem with our flights, we only managed to stay for 3 nights. The owner was brilliant - from the moment we made the booking through to us getting stuck in St Vincent. She was very responsive & happy to provide all kinds of information about the villa or the surroundings.
When we finally arrived at the villa we were very happy. It's a lovely building set in beautiful gardens. We weren't lucky enough to see the monkeys but we all enjoyed watching the birds (especially the hummingbirds) & the rest of the wildlife.
The villa is well situated - close to beaches & 2 local towns with lots of restaurants. It's also within easy reach of lots of local attractions which are all well signposted. We had hired a car so were able to do some exploring & would heartily recommend both Hunte's Gardens & the Barbados Wildlife Reserve.
The villa itself slept the 7 of us in comfort & the air conditioning in the bedrooms was a godsend.
The kitchen was fine for our needs but could probably do with a little bit of an update & it would have been nice to have a slightly bigger table on the veranda so we could all eat outside but other than that, we really couldn't complain.
We'd happily go back to Spindrift if we were back in Barbados.
Our party of three spent a week at Spindrift in May 2016. The villa is a lovely traditional coral stone building situated in its own grounds close to the lovely Gibbs Beach. Ripening mangoes in the garden attracted many birds (and the occasional green monkey) most mornings. Noise from the main road is minimal. The property is serviced twice a week and comes well equipped for most of your needs - although we'd like to see few more drinking glasses (needed if fully occupied) and possibly the addition of a barbecue.
The owners and local manger were extremely helpful and welcoming. We'd definitely go back.

Well after spending 2 glorious weeks in Spindrift I can safely say it was a wrench to leave it behind to return home , Janetta and her hubby were very helpful with the few small hiccups we had and were hard working but with a smile on their faces , I think as a party of 7 we spent most of our time on the excellent BIG verandah just chilling and bird watching and amazed at the monkeys who visited , It really is in a super location with 2 fabulous beaches to visit daily , So handy for the local busses up and down the island , We found a great local bar that sold very good food just up past the Rubis petrol station called Cheers and wish we had found it much earlier than we did . Mullins beach bar sold nice coffee but Adriana beach hut was my favourite spot to have a banks and watch the beach guys go about their business , We had many a laugh with tthese guys .All in all Spindrift was EXCELLENT for us .Would return in a heartbeat.

Spindrift was great. A bit far from the airport(a $32 US cab ride) but steps away from the beach. We had a car so it was an easy drive to the grocery store but you could also take the bus. The house was a good size, 4 bedrooms with a kitchen easy to cook meals in. We stopped at the fish market and got some fresh fish a couple of nights and made it at the house. Delish! The housekeeper Janeta was fantastic. She gave us a lot of tips about the island and called for a driver for our friends to go to the airport. The place was clean and well cared for and the manager ,Sue answered my emails within hours. We had to take an earlier flight than expected because of a storm moving in on the east coast and Sue arranged for Janeta to meet us there for an early arrival. Very accommodating! We went to both beaches close by. Gibbs was a little more secluded than Mullins beach, but both had great swimming and snorkeling. Mullins beach has a restaurant and bar. Also a small hut which rented chairs and sold incidentals. They had the best rum punch, careful the rum sneaks up on you. My favorite part of the day was having my morning coffee on the front porch. Usually after being away from home for a week I'm itching to get back. Not here I could have stayed a month! I loved Spindrift , Barbados and all the friendly islanders. Can't wait to do it again!
