“Sun, Sand and CeeCee”
Reviewed 6 November 2016 for a stay in September 2016

So, maybe like us, you have had hotel or all-inclusive holidays and now you want to live like a local and add a little adventure to your Barbados visit. CeeCee makes for a smooth transition.
With this great West Coast location, situated almost half way between Holetown and Speightstown both shopping and a little night life are easily accessible either by hire car or public transport.
First day, up to Speightstown for a few basics from Jordan’s supermarket to fill the generous sized fridge freezer (don’t forget the ice cream!). Also, like the locals, buy fresh fruit and veg from the street side vendors. By the way we found that Jordan’s supermarket was adequate and cheaper than the Massey’s store in Holetown but that had a much wider range of groceries.
When you get back to base you will find the ever smiling Sandra has made your bed, washed dishes, swept and tidied round and done any washing you may have left!
After that hard mornings shopping take a five minute walk down to one of the two local beaches, Gibbes for a quiet relax and swim or Mullins for a drink, jet ski, sunbathe - you name it (don’t forget beach towels, beach chairs or inflatables all available from CeeCee!)
If you fancy using the barbecue try bringing back some fresh fish from the small fish market at Weston then make use of the ample, private rear garden to enjoy your evening meal and probably a drink or two.
Before you settle down in the super king size bed take a quick look at the information booklet which Charlene has put together for some interesting ideas then sleep and dream of tomorrows adventure!

“Spotlessly clean, fully equiped, friendly hosts.”
Reviewed 9 June 2016 for a stay in February 2016

We spent a delightful 6 weeks at ‘Cee Cee’ in February to March in 2016. We have stayed at a number of other places in St. Peter’s, and this was our first time at ‘Cee Cee’. We found it to be the best equipped apartment we have ever had in Barbados! Even a steam cooker!
It is a peaceful spot, close to the main coast road, but not disturbed by traffic. A 5 minute walk gets us to Mullins beach (which is busy) or Gibbes beach (which is quiet). These are wonderful places to watch the sunset and hope to see the green flash. (look it up)
Before we arrived, we wondered if having the cleaning lady come in daily would be somewhat invasive, but this was not at all the case. Sandra was friendly and discrete and conscientious in all she did for us.
The highlight of our stay was that the owners, Charles and Charlene were there for 2 weeks. They were as charming, helpful and kind in person as they are on line! Conversations with them added to our knowledge of Barbados lore. We relaxed and enjoyed the quiet of the property, while they worked really hard to maintain it.
We have booked again for next year and are really looking forward to it; no nasty surprises!
We highly recommend a stay at ‘Cee Cee’ as a place to relax, feel safe and have every convenience at hand.

“Loved our stay!”
Reviewed 10 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

Just returned from our trip to Barbados, and ready to get right back on the plane! We stayed at CeeCee for 8 nights (parents, and kids aged 14 and 10), and couldn't be happier with our decision. Nice, clean, quiet - and a perfect home base for exploring the island! Had the pleasure of meeting Charlene and Charles for the first few days of our trip - really appreciated their hospitality and tips of things to do on the island. Great people who take tremendous pride in their home and the enjoyment of their guests!
Spent a fair bit of time on the covered back porch in the mornings/evenings, and made great use of the new bbq for dinners from the fish market. Home is within a few minutes walk to 2 great beaches - we also rented a car for the week to do some exploring, Charlene was even able to have it delivered and picked up right from the house! If I can make it back - will definitely change my packing habits as laundry is available and done by Sandra the housekeeper on an almost daily basis (takes weekends off) That's a really, really nice bonus.
Barbados is a fantastic destination, Charlene and Charles are wonderful owners, and CeeCee is a great spot to call home for your vacation!

“Excellent value apartment on beautiful Gibbs Beach”
Reviewed 2 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

Wow where do I start?? We were so happy with booked this apartment with Charlene and Charles (Cee Cee!)

Location: The apartment is located on the main road going up and down the West Coast (but set back from the road so there is no road noise). It is perfectly located close to Gibbs Beach, which after our 10 day stay and seeing all the "best" beaches in Barbados was definitely our favourite. Gibbs is a quiet beach with some natural shade and beautiful clear and calm water. It has no bars/restaurants/beach chairs for hire so it is usually quieter than the other beaches. The beach is a very short walk of a couple of minutes through a public path from the road. If you want something more buzzing, Mullins beach is also only a few minutes walk from the apartment too. We had no trouble arranging jet ski and waterski from Gibbs Beach - though most of them are based in the busier Mullins. The operators go up and down the beach looking for customers, but they aren't pushy. Just give them a wave and they'll come over! We paid US$40 for 30 mins on a jet ski which seemed reasonable, you might need to haggle!

We hired a car from Ballantynes (Charlene's recommendation) and they were great. We got a soft top Suzuki Jimny for a great price. They dropped it off and picked it up from the apartment so totally hassle free. Parking is available on site.

If you don't hire a car, you can get around the island on the public and private buses. They go up and down the coast and around to the south too. We were surprised just how frequent they were - seemed like one every 2 minutes!

Gibbs is around halfway between Holetown and Speightstown. Both have good supermarkets and restaurants and only a few minutes drive each.

Apartment - the apartment was much bigger than we expected. It was a large studio (with an option to rent the second bedroom) but it felt more like a one bedroom it was so big. The TV worked well with cable channels. The ceiling fan stayed on the whole time and the apartment does get a good breeze that comes through all day. At night occasionally we used the air conditioning to help us sleep but didn't need it during the day.

The kitchen was well fit out with a gas oven and stove, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle etc.

The bed and pillows were comfortable - we had no trouble sleeping after all our daily activities!

Wifi worked perfectly and was surprisingly fast. There is also a telephone which is useful to book local restaurants.

We didn't use the garden too much but there is a covered courtyard with barbecue and some seating if you like sitting outside (we were always at the beach!)

Sandra was the amazing housekeeper who came in each morning to clean the apartment and do any laundry that we left in the basket. It was always returned clean that afternoon and she was so warm and friendly.

Charlene has a folder with instructions and LOTS of recommendations. Her husband is from Barbados and they seem to know all the restaurant owners and tour businesses! The restaurant tips were great (we usually use TripAdvisor but all the recommendations were consistent with TA as well as some hidden gems).

Finally, we were lucky to stay while Charlene and Charles were staying in their own property for Christmas from Canada (located on the same site but separate to the apartment). My fiancee and I were treated like part of the family and they both went out of their way to make us feel especially welcome.

Overall I would highly recommend this place as great value (Barbados resorts can be expensive as you'll see!), the freedom to cook some of your own meals in the kitchen, unbeatable location and the wonderful hosts Charlene and Charles.
