Looking for a B & B for an impromptu weekend away during the recent lovely weather, we found Eden House and what a find it was! Emma and Andy were the perfect hosts and made us feel so welcome in their lovely home - from home made scones and coffee in the garden on our arrival to the glass of port in the delightful guest lounge in the evening. Our room was spacious and comfortable and full of thoughtful touches. Our stay was rounded off with a delicious breakfast in the lovely dining room and a cup of tea in the lounge before departure. We wish Emma and Andy every success in their new business venture and only hope that they will have a room for us next time we return to Pickering as I'm sure they will be fully booked once word gets about about this treasure!

Andy and Emma were very welcoming and friendly and offered us tea and homemade cake on arrival (cake was amazing!!). Lovely spacious room that was perfect for us and a quality breakfast (the rhubarb compote was a winner). Will definitely stay there again!

Our short break coincided with an unseasonal cold spell, but both the welcome and accommodation were happily very warm! The cosy guest sitting room, central heating in the bedroom and plenty of hot water were much appreciated. We couldn't fault the facilities offered in our spacious double room which not only included a hospitality tray with ground coffee and cafetiere, but also a TV with DVD player, and even a neat little radio alarm which doubled as an iPod dock! The breakfast was one of the best we have enjoyed. We certainly hope to be back to explore the lovely surrounding area in better weather.

We were met by Emma who offered us tea and a delicious slice of homemade cake on our arrival. Our room was lovely and modern (not an inch of chintz or lacey doilies in sight), the tea tray was generous with a variety of beverages and biccies and there was also bottled water on the bedside. Breakfast was quite a feast of local produce, delicious free range eggs, bacon, sausage etc and the most wonderful bread, followed by Emma's own rhubarb compote and yoghurt.
Emma and Andy are very friendly, without being imposing. They have great local knowledge and can offer tips on local attractions especially ones off the beaten track.

Andy & Emma are perfect hosts, with the most fabulous local Pickering breakfast, some bits so local straight for Andy's fruit and vegetable patch, the seasonal rhubarb jam was so good on toast. Now trying to get the secret recipe from Emma! The room was immaculate a perfect blend of cottage meets the 21st century. If you are visiting Pickering or the surrounding area then the position is ideal, easy to find and within walking distance of the town center.
