Firstly, a beautiful part of the world. Lots of lovely beaches (don't just restrict yourself to Saundersfoot) and if you get the weather it will be glorious. If you get 50% rain like we did then there are plenty of towns and castles and places to take the kids crabbing to keep you occupied. A particular recommendation would be Carew Castle and take your crab bucket as there is a great spot down at the mill pond.
The apartment itself is everything it described itself as and Ray was a pleasant helpful owner. It's a quick 5 min walk down into Saundersfoot and the beach (though a slightly longer 10 mins back up the hill later :-)). It is clean, has all the amenities you'll need, warm (we had to stick the heating on once -- in Aug :-)) and having two bathrooms is a big plus. Things to note: the kitchen is small and the table only seats two (wasn't a problem to us). Also, the front room over looks one of the main roads into Saundersfoot and the window isn't particularity sound proof, so cars were often loud. However the road isn't very busy and the bedrooms are at the back so it didn't affect any sleep. There is also no wifi and decent 4G signal (at least on EE) was virtually non existent (not just in the apartment, but seemingly in the whole of Pembrokeshire :-)). Whilst this was a godsend to the missus, if you are like me and like having an on line connection, or perhaps need an online connection, then come prepared.
I'd highly recommend Pembrokshire for a family holiday, and would definitely stay in the apartment again.
We have just returned from a brilliant week staying at Rhodewood House in Saundersfoot. Very comfortable. Lovely sized flat. Well appointed. Immaculate. Fantastic location. The owner (Ray J) couldn't have been more helpful or accomodating. Can't recommend highly enough. We will certainly be returning. Thanks very much Ray.
As a family with two young boys, the apartment was absolutely perfect! It was very clean, modern and had everything it needed to accommodate a small family. It is a very short walk downhill to the beach and harbour so made the perfect base for our holiday! We would definitely recommend this apartment, we really enjoyed our stay!
We just visited Rhodewood House as a family if 4 with teenage children. The accommodation is lovely, fully equipped and nicely decorated. A real home from home. Ray left us a welcome pack which was gratefully appreciated. The apartment is well situated, the nearby town of Saundersfoot is in walking distance although the way back is very steep!! I would recommend this apartment. Thanks again Ray
