Fran and Alex are lovely hosts. The apartment itself is excellent; exceptionally clean, comfortable and well-equipped. It is very well situated for lots of the area's attractions; we particularly enjoyed Stirling castle. We'd recommend getting the park and ride bus into Stirling from Springkerse, which is only 10 minutes drive from the apartment.
This self contained unit is so well presented with lots of space and a gorgeous large kitchen and bathroom. It is situated in a great location close to Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow. We were able to base ourselves there and make day trips in all directions to see many local and historical sights. It is only a short distance from supermarkets and has a great country park to walk in across the road. The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating. We would highly recommend this place to couples who are looking for a fantastic location and a clean spacious top quality place to stay. We will certainly be recommending this place to everyone we know who is traveling to Scotland.
The apartment is well situated for travelling to Edinburgh, Stirling, or Glasgow yet in a peaceful and restful location near a Country Park. Fran and Alex were very friendly and helpful, and the accommodation is very well equipped and immaculately clean.
We found the apartment when looking for a dog friendly base when we wanted to visit falkirk and stirling, this was in plean, a village halfway between the two, .From the moment the owners opened the door to the accomodation, I knew we had the right plce, as i'd never heard my other half say "wow!" before when we'd gone anywhere, it was spotlessly clean, modern yet rewlaxed, a fully equipped kitchen area open plan to the lounge dining area. Lovely bathroom, cosy bedroom, the owners gave us full use of the utility room which was a bonus in october weather, secure garden for our dog, she liked the owners, they were there if you needed them, but we were totally independant, we felt like family visiting...and you could quite happily live there. The accomodation is at the rear of the property in a low maintainance garden , ample parking, great koi in the pond. Outside on the roads which goes straight through the village is a bus stop with half hourly services to stirling and falkirk with ongoing route to Edinburgh....great when you don't want to drive.... The village has a well stocked general stores, pharmacy, two pubs , primary school, fish and chip shop, all four minutes walk away, near the property there is a country park and castle ruins, so, things to do if you don't want to venture far.. We could have quite happily stayed longer, and will return when we want to do other places in the locality, a great little gem.
