traveled here for few days between xmas and new year booked two club apartments as they were not much more expense. put on booking form they must be clean as have read some bad reviews. was pleasantly surprised the rooms we were given were basic but clean. ok for a base included a free breakfast free newspapers and electricity not bad. downsides were beds not comfortable entertainment not good especially stavros flatley@ son. what a load of rubbish and place a bit dated and cold in main area but overall got what we paid for we only used as a base. if going into liverpool train at ainsdale is far easier only 5 pound return and free parking.

Visiting Southport the other day we had a walk along the seafront. Although closed, the Southport Holiday Park looks great for kids. Plenty of things to do (well there is no beach as such), plenty of parking and eateries. Wish my parents had taken me there when I was young!!

Stayed here Mon-Friday during the Scottish school October week.Booked via the 'Sun' holiday deal which only cost £9,50 per head for the break. Had to give the apartment a clean on arrival but facilities were good and the staff very friendly.

chaotic and in need of refurbishment. kids love it though. food choices limited. dining area often full of dirty plates and food on the floor. staff seem bored and uninterested. blue coats great with kids of all ages and abilities.

went back to Southport pontins we only paid £49 for 2 nights the entertainment was good the first night was a juggling act and the 2nd night blue coat Laura sang and she was really good. it was quiet nut kids are back at school so not much going on in the day however that was fine we went to southport first day and went liverpool direct from ainsdale sation dsy after, we paid £7.50 for evening meal and was good there was soup and 3 or 4 choices of mains and desserts and tea and coffee and breakfast was £5.95 which was really good as you could also help your self. now the first night we missed dinner as it was only served 5-6 not sure if that is all season or just because its not really school children season but there was a burger van that was open until late.. The chalet was basic but everything you needed and reading the bad reviews on here i was worried but nothing bad to say at all,
