Had a lovely relaxing 3 night break on our first visit to Ilfracombe. This beautiful stylish house was clean, comfortable and well equipt. Enjoyed views from living area and master bedroom and a glass of something cold on the balcony was a lovely end to each day. Ilfracombe is such a pretty and interesting place. We loved climbing the zig zag path to see 'Katy' and take in the amazing view. A short walk took us to the harbour where we enjoyed seeing the stunning sight of 'Verity'.We climbed the path to see St Nicholas chapel, another great viewpoint! Fish and chips then a lovely icecream from Joey's made a perfect lunch. Must mention our favourite tearoom,The Naked Cake. Best cream tea we've ever had in a quaint, cosy setting. Tunnels beaches are worth a visit for a look into the past.Lovely days out at Lynmouth,Watersmeet and Valley of the rocks in beautiful Exmore national park. Also enjoyed the sandy beaches of Woolacombe and Croyde. Market street is a great base for exploring Ilfracombe and surrounding areas... highly recommended.
Thankyou Trevor and Colin!
This is our second visit and we all love it, The house is clean and homely, it was well equipped. The views are fantastic, it's close to the sea front. Very welcoming with wine, biscuits and jam. I highly recommend this to everyone. The picture on the left is down by the theatre looking back at the town house, the second is the view from the town house from the bedroom.
We were in Ilfracombe to attend a wedding at Tunnels Beaches. The house is only a few minutes walk away from the venue which was very convenient.
The house was really comfortable and very well equipped. Communication with Trevor (the owner) was easy.
We did manage to use the garage but car access to the house is very, very tight so wouldn't recommend it other than with a very small car. The house is close to a bus stop and there are good local buses so it would be a good location if you don't have a car. Although we only went to Ilfracombe because of the wedding, we really enjoyed our stay there and it also made a good base for visiting other places.
We had a very relaxed holiday and the house is well equipped except for the lack of a teapot!
Ilfracombe and surrounding area have lots to keep you occupied.
Market St is very steep and my parents who are both fit 82+ year olds found walking up it a little difficult.
I would echo the comments about getting the car through the passage - made even more difficult by the current scaffolding
Stayed for a long weekend for the May Bank Holiday.
The house was in a great location for exploring Ilfracombe on foot. Didn't attempt the garage with a large car but plenty of easy parking nearby so not an issue.
The house is lovely and beautifully decorated. Would definitely recommend staying here for a great location and enough space for 6.
