We have been visiting Norbury House for 10 years and each time it just gets better and better. Paula and Adam (and Bovril) always make us feel welcome and treat us like one of the family. The breakfasts are always delicious and filling and the rooms are perfectly decorated, all ensuite and all having the mod cons you'd want. Here's looking forward to the next 10 years.

Loved everything about our stay. Paula and Adam were perfect hosts and we couldn't recommend a stay here enough.

Quirky rooms, massive comfortable beds and a fab breakfast made the stay even better.

Until next year....

We stayed at Norbury House for 4 nights in October 2017. Would definitely recommend this special place.

Adam and Paula (and of course Bovril the dog!) were outstanding hosts. Good and friendly comms in the lead up to our stay and a nice welcome. They are very tuned into the partucular needs of different guests.

Norbury House is on a nice quiet road about 10 minutes walk from the town and close to the coast path. Perfect location for us, nice view, and walkable to everywhere. Might not be ideal if you have mobility issues though.

At breakfast, there are 4 options and a decent spread of cereals and juices. Eggs Benedict and the cooked breakfast were great and locally sourced. The lounge room is perfect for taking it easy, honesty bar, and lounging by the fire with Bovril the dog.

A gorgeous tiled entrance leads to accommodation that's a perfect balance of grand whilst homely, preserving it's history whilst having contemporary styled rooms.

The thoughtful owners create a stand out experience.

We travelled to Ilfracombe to attend a birthday party for a friend who we had not seen for 27 years! The friend had given us a steer towards Norbury House and I am so grateful for the advice.
The owners, Adam and Paula, were friendly, courteous and endlessly helpful without being in any way intrusive. The whole vibe of the place was very relaxed - essential in the light of our weekend of drinking, dancing and reminiscing until the early hours with our friends!

The accommodation was smart, clean and comfortable (with onsite parking)- the service and breakfasts were excellent and to cap it all we were allowed to walk the delightful labrador, Bovril, who really epitomised the whole experience for us- friendly, laid back and care free!
The whole weekend was a triumph made even better by the efforts of Adam and Paula to make their home feel like ours!

My wife & I stayed here for 2 nights recently. The experience from the 1st minute to the last was exceptional. From Adam’s local briefing to Paula’s superb breakfasts, we were made very welcome and were very impressed. Very homely. Thank you we’ll be back.
