We arrived at the Crescent in a thunderstorm, and not just any old thunderstorm! The heavens opened, the roads turned to rivers and lightening flashed across the sky. What an awful start to a holiday we thought!
Well we shouldn't have worried because we had a wonderful weekend at the Crescent House hotel. Liam greeted us warmly and showed us to our room, the Capstone, a beautiful big room with bay windows looking out over the bay. The bathroom was massive with lovely leaded light windows , a jacuzzi bath and shower big enough for two. The bed was really comfy and snuggly warm and the cooked breakfast was yummy. The comfort and luxury offered at the Crescent easily outweighs the only downside, which is lack of parking- you have to park in the harbour and walk up the hill, only 5 minutes though and a nice stroll (when it's not pouring with rain haha.) and there is a drop off zone outside the hotel so you can unload suitcases.
Parking at the far right of the harbour is only £2.50 all day.
If you stay here you must must must visit The Terrace tapas and wine bar for amazing food and and great service.More
