Unexpectedly, we had our daughter join us and we needed accommodation for her for one night. We were already booked but she was not. We arrived and inquired if there might be another room available but were told they were full and could not help.
We asked if it was possible to have a cot placed in our room for our daughter.
"No, I'm afraid our rooms aren't suited to have a cot added!" She then asked how old the child was. We replied "Thirty seven!"
"Oh, I thought you had a wee one! Give me a minute!"
She was able to make some changes and gave us a room which was truthfully more of a suite with a double bed and two twin beds, basically two separate rooms joined by a bit of a passageway. We were well accommodated and enjoyed a good night's sleep.
Very appreciative of them going the extra mile for us and the upcharge was only six pounds. Sweet!
Breakfast included and it was terrific typical Scottish cooked breakfast, filling and tasty!
Parking in front of hotel and along the adjacent street. Across the street is the Wellmeadow, a garden park previously an area where herdsmen would graze cattle and sheep going to or from market. Today "Jock" stand guard with bowed head at the cenotaph memorial dedicated to Blairgowrie's war dead. Their names are listed, far too many names!
The Angus Hotel is a good choice in Blair! Remember Blair is about eight thousand residents so does not have a variety of modern hotels to choose from.

Arrived at 10.30 pm Sunday night after a 5 hour drive, checked in asked about a drink at the bar, bar was all shuttered up, we did get offered one and we just took it too bed, felt like it was a bit inconvient, there is a weather-spoons 5 mins walk away we would of gone there had we known. Didn't get told anything on check had to ask what time breakfast was served, didn't think much to the continental, full English was OK a bit on the cool side, didn't eat at night went to the Indian next door, day 2 breakfast was all self serve slightly better because it was hotter. Didn't check out the pool etc so can't comment. Room was 103 and extremely noisy with traffic etc, but was clean & had everything you needed. Would stay again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back rather than the front of the hotel

My 4-night break, arranged by a local coach company Voel, proved to be very enjoyable. Clean, comfortable, quiet room, with new bathroom. All staff very friendly, helpful and professional. Fantastical buffet breakfast. 3-course evening meals were adequately proportioned, and flavoursome, with several choices. Nice indoor pool, jacuzzi, and sauna. Maximum of 90 mins entertainment, on 2 nights only, ending promptly at 10pm, was a bit of a disappointment. The hotel is conveniently situated at the centre of town, with the bus station, picturesque town square, and tourist information Office out front, and a huge Tesco, Coop and Wetherspoon’s nearby. Also close access to the lovely River Ericht and several walks.

Room Tip: Room 61 was a quiet double, 2nd floor, easy access to the lift, overlooking ground floor roof central area, did not suffer any road noise.
