We were on a coach tour of Scotland and this was our first nights stop. This hotel is rated 3 star but I would say 3+. We were warmly welcomed by the manager who allocated our rooms. The hotel was very clean, the staff accommodating and the food was good and plentiful. Situated close to the river and the town.

excellent nights entertainment with Clark, who provided not only excellent music but great comedy and audience participation too... :- ) Will certainly be back for his appearances again and also look forward to booking more tribute night stays...

Room Tip: we were on 3rd floor accessed by lift or stairs, corridors a bit of a maze but once traversed easy enough to reach your room.

Received usual e-mail from Hotel but this time they offered late deal of 2 nights Dinner Bed & Breakfast for £59 each the Saturday Night being Tribute Night. Choice of 3 starters 4 main courses and 3 desserts then coffee or tea. If this menu does not suit then you can get Bay Tree Restaurant menu with allowance of £15 each. As well as free WIFI and use of Leisure Facilities, Swimming Pool, Sauna and Jacuzzi great deal

Went for 2 nights at the tribute weekend. This was supposed to be a rat pack tribute night to Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis junior. Turned out it was one man singing their songs and songs of other artists and telling cornie jokes. He was a good singer but not a tribute to the rat pack. Disappointed in the show. Food was not of a good standard and very basic. Hotel is very dated and could do with modernising. Room was clean and staff friendly. Not sure if I'd go back.

Room Tip: Superior room ok

I stayed here with a group of American visitors. Despite our large group, check in was very efficient with a warm welcome from Kathleen and Duty Manager Findlay.
The corridors are narrow and winding with a number of small sets of stairs and fire doors to negotiate but there is an elevator. This is due to the hotel being 2 buildings joined together. My clients loved it as it was quirky compared to the very modern hotels they had experience elsewhere on our tour.
Dinner was delicious and our menu had a good choice to suit all tastes and was served in one of the hotels banqueting rooms, large round tables meant we could all chat easily and the serving staff were very efficient.
Breakfast was buffet style served around the bar area and again the food was delicious, plenty of items to suit everyone.
We were able to park our coach at the rear of the hotel and there seemed to be plenty of car parking space for guests.
This a lovely traditional Scottish Hotel with comfortable rooms with welcoming, efficient staff, delicious food, a great place for a short break or extended holiday to explore the Perthshire countryside.
