“My rating is 5/5 for this excellent apartment”

Little Parklands is situated in a quiet road residential road, about a ten minute walk from the town centre and beach. The property doesn’t have on-site parking, but there are no parking restrictions in the road. There are bus stops within a short walk, and the Isle of Wight has an excellent bus service with routes serving most of the island.

The owners live in the building, and when I had raised a query prior to our visit, I received a response within a matter of just hours.

We stayed for two weeks at the end of June in Apartment 3, which we considered to be very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The apartment is on the first floor and accessed by its own external stairs which leads to a good-sized private decked terrace with a table and two chairs. When the weather was warm enough, we had breakfast out there and at other times drinks.

Unusually in an apartment for only two people, the spacious, modern breakfast-kitchen has both a washing-machine and a dishwasher, as well as an electric cooker with ceramic hob, and a microwave. There was an ample supply of cutlery and crockery, tea towels were provided and even a tablecloth.

A wide opening from the kitchen leads to the lounge, which is furnished with a two-seater settee, and has as its focal point an electric fire in a surround flanked by two small matching storage units, one with a large lamp on the top and the other having the TV on it.

French doors open from the bedroom onto the terrace. There is a 6’ wide double bed that you can have as a double or request be made up as two singles, which I did. Even with two beds there was still sufficient space to easily walk around the room. Storage was provided for by a pair of two drawer bedside chests and a triple wardrobe which had a double hanging space and an end shelved section.

We both found the beds to be extremely comfortable, and I’ve rarely woken up when on holiday feeling that I’ve had such a good night’s sleep as I did in this apartment.

The apartment has a shower room with a corner entry shower cubicle that has an electric shower, and there is also a toilet and wash-basin.

At the rear of the property, the owners have a solar-heated swimming pool which they kindly allow their guests to use.

The beds were made up for our arrival, and at the end of our first week the linen was changed along with the towels that had also been provided.

There was Wi-Fi access, and when I used my laptop I had no problem at all, but when I used my tablet the broadband signal was sometimes weaker and variable, but this wasn't a major problem.

This apartment is extremely good value for money, and certainly ticked all the boxes as far as I’m concerned. I hope to be able to stay in it again, and highly recommend it.

A beautiful clean, and modernised appartment, with every thing in it you need. Central location to every thing, but quiet. We had a lovely week Karen so helpful and we would definitely go again. Thanks so much
