Maybe we had been spoiled for food, but although we enjoyed the farm shop, the restaurant itself was disappointing. I'd say: enjoy the farm and the shop, but skip eating there for better options elsewhere on the island.

Ordered the ham steak with spicy potatoes, pineapple and pea sprouts. Balance of flavors was off but at least it was a generous portion, about £11. Bubble and squeek with black pudding and egg was made of interesting ingredients and sounded promising, but was pleasant rather than excellent: £11. The kids meal was £7 for mac and cheese and garlic bread.

Thankfully, the drinks were lovely, black garlic milk shake was pleasant and interesting. Childrens hot chocolates delicious, and generous with marshmallows. Tea: unfortunately, was served in a large pot of water with one tea bag, very weak.

Myself and 4 friends visited here for lunch on a Saturday lunchtime. We had booked in advance and We were sat at a table by the wooden stove fire. After some time (we had arrived a bit earlier than the other 2 friends eating with us) we became quite warm being sat by the fire, so asked if we could move to a different table, to which a lady said yes. We gathered our things and began to move, only then for the lady to come back and say no we couldn’t move the table we were being moved to was reserved; so we moved back to the original table and just decided we would have to deal with the warmth. Once our friends arrived, Some of us ordered off the specials menu and some of us ordered of the ‘normal’ menu. Once we had ordered we were then informed one of the dishes we’d ordered they had now run out of - the restaurant opened its lunch menu at 12.30 I believe and we were ordering at 1pm.... which I found very peculiar that they could run out in such a short space of him especially as the restaurant was very quiet. As the time went on whilst being there it got busier and busier, meaning staff were moving tables and chairs about all over making the restaurant very claustrophobic and not a lot of space for anyone. There were children running around the restaurant and leaving the doors open letting a very cold draft in (even though we were sat by the fire!!!!). I ordered a chicken Caesar salad, which was a large portion and looked lovely. The only issue I had was that it was covered in balsamic vinegar which made it very salty / sour and I could only eat some of it due to this. For desert I had a eton mess sundae which was delicious. The gentleman server we had was extremely helpful and friendly but the lady server who took our orders was not helpful and seemed to not care about our experience. Overall I don’t think I would visit again but the Eton mess sundae was delicious. I also noticed that there were not many options on the menu for vegetarians or vegans.

I had bought there products from farmers markets/Christmas fayres for years, so to go to the Home of it all was ace. We sampled loads in the next door shop and went through to the cafe, the food was smipley AMAZING and i am not easy to please, my partner had the 3 bean chilli and it was soo good you honestly didn't miss the meat. I had the ploughman's and was delicious well worth the money and the presentation is 1st class.

We went here for lunch. The homemade soup and garlic bread with cheese was lovely as was the bulb of garlic. Good value for very tasty food.
