The location was really nice, close to the golden beaches of Ramsey and within walking distance to Ramsey shops, glens and very good restaurants. The house is surrounded by garden and there were roses in bloom, very much a country garden; the gazebo was a nice feature, separate from the house it had a very good view of the beach. Well situated, clean and well organised, with instructions to help. It felt like being at home. I had been brought up in Ramsey, left fifty years ago for Canada and it felt like coming home again. Gareth, our contact was most helpful and answered our questions fully. Thank you Kilmuir!
Lovely house, very comfortable with all the facilities you could wish for. Owner very accommodating if a problem were to arise. Good position just outside the town but close enough to stroll into Ramsey, in my view better than Douglas and very easy to get around the Island even by public transport.
Overall smashing accommodation, town and Island would definitely consider booking again.
House in fantastic location very close to the beach. Spacious and very comfortable, well equipped accommodation. Island is beautiful and unspoilt, plenty of toilet facilities around island, all clean. Lots of bins, no rubbish, a genuinely lovely place to visit. Weather was fab, lovely harbours and places to see. Would recommend it.
We found the house extremely comfortable with outstanding views of the ever changing seascape. There is a lovely garden and the quaint summerhouse was a lovely spot to enjoy afternoon tea or pre dinner drinks. We enjoyed exploring the island and hunting the elusive Manx kipper which took us all week to find. Walking was good and the little bay and harbour at Old Laxey was beautiful and quiet. The Electric Railway to Snaefel and down to Douglas was quite exciting and the horse tram was lovely. Above all the weather was sunny all week which added to our enjoyment. We hadn't realised before that the Isle of Man is apparently ALWAYS windy. We had a great time.
