Made to feel most welcome as soon as we arrived. Rooms were absolutely charming and clean. Breakfast was delicious and the location was idyllic. We made use of the outdoor patio and Jacuzzi. The proprietor was friendly and very helpful, making our stay simply perfect. Having our own reserved parking made life easier as we were able to tour around the island and come back without worry for parking. Well worth the money.

Having traveled from New Zealand to stay on the Isle of Wight during Cowes week, we were hoping to find that place that would be restful, quite and relaxing, well we found all that and more at Koala Cottage. This hidden secret on the Island is with out doubt Shangri-La, it is nestled amongst the quaintest of villages with a church atop a hill and a pub, the village shop with other heritage building too, what more could you want for, Koala Cottage fits perfectly into this village. The rooms are period perfect with their fixtures and fittings with the convenience of modern amenities, its the perfect retreat to return to at the end of a days Island exploring and relaxing, if you want that traditional English breakfast, then you will be hard pressed to beat what is offered with Island sourced fare that tastes like food use to all those years ago, our host Shona was faultless in her cooking of our breakfasts she was a major part of how enjoyable our stay was, the only real disappointment was having to pack and leave but we will do our utmost to return, because its worth travelling all the way from New Zealand to stay again. Thanks Shona xxx

My Partner and I had the pleasure of staying with shona from the Saturday to the Wednesday. What an outstanding B and B Koala Cottage is.. A very Luxurious suite (and a stunning bathroom i actually could have lived in).. All very well decorated to an exceptional standard. Shona has a great eye for detail, the suite was tastefully decorated and the bed wonderfully comfortable. In the suite there was a wine bucket, cork screw and 2 sets of proper wine and champagne glasses. Everything has been thought of for the comfort of the customer.
The breakfasts are superb. I especially loved the Koala special omelette shona makes from "blue "eggs.. so much so I had one every morning, while my partner had the delicious full english, or the eggs Benedict with salmon.
Godshill is a beautiful, quiet setting with wonderful thatched cottages and a lovely little church. It was a very relaxing break for us, especially taking advantage of the hot tub..
Shona is a superb hostess, nothing is too much trouble, and she engages really well with all her customers. We would have no hesitation at all returning, or recommending her B and B. A better place you will go a long way to find.

Room Tip: The Sapphire Suite is just breathtakingly decorated.

Visited for 2 nights having chosen from previous reviews and they all proved right. This is a superb B&B. Well located in Godshill to visit anywhere on the Isle of Wight. The suite was extremely comfortable. Breakfast had a great selection for all tastes. Our host, Shona, was extremely pleasant and keen to help make our stay enjoyable, which is was. I’d have no hesitation in returning or recommending Shona and Koala Cottage.
