This is the fourth time we have eaten at the Hillside and every time it has been perfection. The décor is Scandinavian minimalist but the attention to detail quite remarkable and the works of art just add to the atmosphere.
The food was superbly cooked and presented and the home made bread rolls are to die for. We had goats cheese starters followed by chicken stuffed with mozzarella and sea bream en papiotte which were both excellent followed by a passion fruit cheesecake - this was yummy! There was at least one other diner who had dietary requirements which were willing met
The wine list is both extensive and very reasonably priced and Gerd, the owner, is very knowledgeable on the contents and able to advise on matching to the chosen foods.
Gerd was leading the service of a dedicated team who are truly professional and make the whole dining experience really a memorable one. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. It is so welcome in Ventnor and is certainly our favourite restaurant. We shall certainly return.
