For this little Kiwi, I do love my food, my comforts and a great laugh. Rylstone Manor, you certainly provided that and more!! Our hosts, Mike and Carole and Angie made us so welcome from the minute we stepped through the front door. The breakfast buffet in the morning is wonderful and so is the cooked breakfast as well. If you're dining in, the bar is open at 6.30pm for your dinner orders, and Carole mixes a fantastic G&T!!!! and dinner.....what more can I say, Mike you're a Legend!! Angie, your wealth of information about the island has been invaluable. If you have an opportunity, ask Mike about the "unique" key rings and I can safely say, it'll be worth the laugh! Go on! Do it!
Stay with these fabulous people!!

Rylstone manor is certainly something different
The website does not do it justice ?
It's unique in every way. Every room is uniquely different.
The parkland setting is delightful, walk down the cliff steps to the seafront or 5 mins walk through gardens to the village that goes back in time with the picturesque thatched cottages ,
Mike & carol are wonderful hosts that make you feel so at home. The absolutely delightful waitress was a highlight with her many stories over breakfast. Cooked to order by mike.
Sitting in the beautiful drawing room after dinner chatting with a drink from the bar was a loverly way to end the day on the Isle of Wight .
Highly recommend . We are from Australia spending time with family from the uk. Easy to get
A short ferry from Lymington ( with the car ) to this delightful island.

This Hotel exceeded our expectations in all departments from setting through to hospitality along with Quality Food. The Hotel itself is exquisite and maintained to the very highest standard. If you Like Quality you will love it whether you are travelling for a rest or even to see the island itself you can be rest assured this hotel will just blow you away! We will be returning very soon and of course I must mention as the Owner quite rightly points out the Waitress/ Chamber maid is just simply one in a million!

Thanks for a wonderful experience

A return visit for us to this splendid hotel set in the secluded Rylstone Gardens near Shanklin Chine and the sea front. The town is only a short walk away. A warm welcome from hosts Carole and Mike and lots of helpful information about the island from Angie. Food excellent, and the hotel itself decorated delightfully as befitting this attractive listed building. Recommended.

We could not fault our five day vacation at Rylstone Manor, booked based on a recommended by a family friend.
The hotel is located close to the cliff tops and a short walk from the picturesque village of Shanklin. Set in lovely Gardens with the added advantage of evening entertainment from the local brass band! Our twin bed guest room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The excellent food was all prepared by our host Mike, while his lovely wife Carol maned the bar. In addition our in-house tourist guide Angie was a mind of information on Island activities.
We had a first class holiday and we also will be recommending friends and family of this delightful Island treasure.
