“Good sized pier”
Review of Paignton Pier

Paignton Pier

Good sized pier. A little bit tight inside on busier days due to volume of people. Hard to get any prizes out of 2p machines though. This place knows how to get your money!

Plenty of parking along the seafront outside the pier. A little bit of fun. Plenty of the pusher machines which the kids like. Before you start throwing loads of coins in them, just be aware the central front area on some pusher machines, especially those with the fivers perched along the front, never ever moved. Almost as though maybe a certain glue is involved.

I guess they have to pay for the multi million pound refit somehow ;)

If you like being pushed, shoved and ripped off this is the place for you! If not, steer clear.

Collect a million tickets and swap them for a lollipop. Staff regularly pushing back the 2p pieces on the waterfalls to make sure there is little chance to win even a few pence. Even my children felt the odds were against them!

Crowded, commercial and overall awful makes for very little fun on this pier.

Felt like the children could easily get lost - not a nice fun atmosphere at all.

Not impressed, overpriced rubbish peddled by those who couldn't care less. Cost the best part of £20.00 for 2 cod and chips which we had to wait over 20 minutes for as the chef wasn't answering his phone and the poor girl left in charge wasn't allowed to use the fryers. The donut stall had run out of donut batter and candy floss and his coffee machine was broken. Not a great start to the season and to top it off we were followed around by pier staff resetting every machine we played on.
